We stay at Hampton Inns several times a year. This hotel in Homestead was exceptional, room felt like it was new, staff was very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was very good. We stayed at seven different hotels on this trip this hotel stood out by far above the rest. Our next hotel cost twice as much and did not hold a candle to the Hampton Inn in Homestead.

We stayed here for easy access to two entrances to the Everglades - Ernest Coe visitor center (about 30 min) and Shark Valley (about 1 hour). It was an easy drive from the Miami airport to this hotel (40 min). Our room was huge and a rather strange layout (with the kitchen in the hall by the door. I found a bit of trash when I moved a chair to open the sofa bed, but other than that it was clean. Also the room smelled a bit of cigarettes even though it was a non-smoking room. We were too busy to use the pool, but it looked nice (we could see it from our room). The breakfast was usual Hampton Inn free breakfast which is good - waffles, eggs, potatos, sausage, muffins, cereal, etc.
The rate was $151 with free parking which seemed reasonable for the area. You could save money by staying here and still have access to Everglades, the Keys, and Miami with a bit of driving.

Room Tip: room 229 was fine - quiet and a slight view of the pool (through fogged up windows)

You really can't go wrong staying in a Hampton Inn Hotel - they get just about everything right. I don't give many 5 star reviews but this is getting one. The rate is great ($143) in a part of Florida that seems to start the rate at $200 per night for anything that is vaguely decent.

This particular Hampton is fairly new so has the added advantage of feeling clean and modern but it is a great place to stop if you are on your way to or from the Keys. It's also a short 10 mile drive from the entrance to the Everglades Park so very convenient for that.

The rooms are very nice - I had a King room and it was large, even for a Hampton with two vanity areas. The fitness area is modern and well equipped and the pool makes the most of its location (next to the parking lot) by being nicely landscaped and screened by palm trees. There is a also a nice patio area by the pool which serves as an overspill for the breakfast area when it is busy.

Breakfast is the usual Hampton fare - you know what you are going to get and it is fine. Easy to forget that by being free, this breakfast saves you over 50 bucks with a family of 5 versus the many hotels of similar standard that charge for breakfast.

There is a Publix across the road which is convenient. One item of annoyance that isn't the fault of the hotel. There is a nice mall a short walk (5 - 10 mins) away with various restaurants (Olive Garden etc) except you can't walk without taking your life into your hands on a busy highway - no sidewalks.

We stayed here for two nights while we visited the Everglades and Key Biscayne National Parks. Very comfortable clean and quiet rooms. The staff were great. The breakfast was great. The only reason I didn't rate it a 5 star was that the coin holder for the washing machine was full so it wouldn't work, and only the main manager, who was not at the hotel, had the key. So we were unable to use it.

this was our last stop before returning home....the Inn was very, very nice....the most comfortable bed and wonderful linens....the pillows were a bit "too fat" for my preference but it was manageable...the bathroom was large and full of towels, washcloths, etc...instant hot water at the sink...coffee in room with plenty of cups and one of the nicest features we liked were the outlets on top of the bedside table lamps....just plug your IPAD or IPHONE in and with the plug exposed one didn't run the chance of leaving it....because you could see it...nice feature Hampton Inn...TV was simple to use and very good quality pic....clean windows with blackout drapes, shear drapes and decorative drapes....they did not "scimp" on anything in this hotel....and of course the breakfast was phenomenal....anything and everything one could possibly want to eat in a lovely setting in or outside....very very clean area....constant wiping up spills and discarding trash from the counters etc....the exercise room was very nice....I used the treadmill and it was simple to use and new and clean....I also liked the pantry connected to the check-in desk where you could purchase soft drink, snacks, popcorn, even microwave food and just have them put on your room charge....lovely pool and pool area and very helpful staff with directions to area interests....an outstanding accommodation for the $$.....super deal!!!!!

Room Tip: can't imagine a bad room here

Echo positive feedback of previous reviewers. Room was very clean. They try to be Eco-friendly. Fridge in the room was a pleasant surprise. Only negative was that Wi-fi didn't have enough bandwidth and was very slow in the evening.

The usual Hampton experience clean and comfortable. Good location for the Everglades. Not sure I like the new Hampton bed changing plan. Bed linen is only changed on the 4th day. You can ask them to change it more often but surely it should be changed every day unless you chose otherwise ???
