My daughter favorite park!
Your first samples greet you upon arrival at the visitor center.
Ride the tram for an informative overview then stroll a few of your favorites.
On a hot day the bamboo grove is wonderful!
We've added trees to our yard after sampling strawberry fruit, papaya......

Our favorites are the avocado varieties and star fruit!

The tram tour at the Fruit and Spice Park was a highlight of my South Florida visit. I took two children, 7 and 10 years old, and they were also delighted to learn all about the plants. The tour /tram driver stopped at various locations and pulled leaves and branches from the trees so the 10 or so of us on the tram could crush and smell the plants ourselves. Fascinating! If you want to see henna plants, allspice, bay rum, ylang ylang, cinnamon, tropical almond, ackee, tamarind, citronella, lemon grass and many more plants in habitat take this tour! Low cost, under $10 for the three of us, and a great way to learn more about the plants we use in our daily lives. Didn't try the cafe next door, but it looked very appealing.

My husband and I stopped by the Fruit and Spice Park. They have tons of exotic fruit trees and spice trees. You are allowed to eat any fruit on the ground but cannot take it out of the park. Unfortunatley there weren't many trees in season except for some starfruit, bananas, and coconuts. Would be fun to visit in the summer for some more fruit sampling.

A very interesting and unique place. Learn about all things that grow on trees. Fruit and spices don't come any fresher than what you can get here.
