Have been to this park several times for the Asian festivals and it's always been a delightful way to spend an afternoon.

The day we went, the tour guide called in sick. So we just wandered around by ourselves. We were told not to pick anything, but that we could eat anything on the ground that we recognized what it was. My husband found a coconut and was determined to open it. He finally did and we ate coconut while walking around looking at all the fruit and trees.

Later we went to the mango cafe that was on site. The food was very good and looked beautiful. I got the lobster rolls and my husband got the chicken and bacon quesadilla. Both were very yummy and price seemed reasonable. Tips go to the organization so that was pretty cool too.

We've been twice; once we were one of only two couples and we actually got a walking tour. Both times fun and interesting, although the tour guide the first time was not as enthusiastic as the tour guide the second time. You get to try different exotic fruits in season and learn more than you ever thought possible about bananas. They also have a restaurant now though we didn't try it. Prices seemed reasonable.

The $8 (currently) access fee gave us time to browse the fruit trees and take pictures. The 1 hour motorized tour through the property was driven by Roger and he was both informative and witty. He took plenty of time to let us smell the crushed leaves, etc. The breadth of application for the various fruits and leaves were amazing. We were slightly disappointed in the herb garden but Roger said it was being redeveloped. This was a pleasant visit and we took a LOT of pictures - especially of the many banana varieties and the interesting development cycle for them.

I'd recommend it for families where the kids are old enough to be amazed by nature and the uses to which man puts these products. We didn't interact with any personnel but our tour guide and he was polite and informative.

Accompanied friends. It was superb and an expected hit. A great way to learn about the variety of fruit and spice trees in South Florida. It is a hidden jewel. The young man who gave the relaxing tram tour was knowledgeable and entertaining. The end of the tour ends in the spice garden where there is a woman who knows about every spice and how to grow it and use it. Anyone with a home and yard to plant trees should visit this place first before deciding which trees would work best and produce the best and produce the most desirable fruit. I have been in Miami for 50 years and did not know we had this wonderful place to enjoy. Highly recommended for anyone remotely interested in gardening, growing fruit trees, spices, and the environment.
