Owner description: If you had visited Coral Castle in the 1940s you would have been greeted enthusiastically by a man weighing a mere 100 pounds and standing just over 5 feet tall. He would have asked you for ten cents admission and introduced you to his fantasy world. Since it is documented that no one ever witnessed Ed's labor in building his beloved Coral Castle, some have said he had supernatural powers. Ed would only say that he knew the secrets used to build the ancient pyramids and if he could learn them, you could too. Today, you can tour the Coral Castle with our tour guides. Narration available in English, Spanish, French or German, Japanese, and Russian. Features of the Coral Castle Museum include a 9-ton gate, a Polaris telescope. We invite you to witness for yourself what millions saw on national TV's "Ancient Aliens" "Sabado Gigante's Don Francisco" "Good Morning America" "That's Incredible" "In Search Of..." "You Asked For It!" and "Ripley's Believe It or Not". Billy Idol wrote his hit song, "Sweet Sixteen" just for us. Coral Castle is one of the Top 10 Historic Hot Spots in South Florida!!

“the magic of pulleys”

i'm not sure why they taut this place's existence as magical....there's a room with all of the dude's pulley's. neat when you think about it in those terms, though--but a little pricey for what you get. couldn't really spend longer than an hour here.

“This is not the ordinary, run of the mill, tourist attraction”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

Interesting, amazing, not expensive, a little science, a little romance. Just a very neat place. Worth the drive even if you are staying in Miami. Make sure you take the free tour. And, try to go when the sun is out, but early in the day, it can get hot.

“Amazing to see what one man did”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 24, 2013

When you see the size of the rocks and realize how much they weigh, it is truly amazing that he was able to move them and build what he built. Also, when you hear the background stories you understand how much thought went into making and placing each piece. He had a lot of knowledge that we still may not understand even in this day and age.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2013

Pretty cool rocks and history. The grounds are extremely well kept, with a decent looking cafe with outdoor seating. There are guided tours starting every few minutes that you can tag along to the end, and you can also navigate around using the paper guides/leaflets. This is a completely outdoor attraction, so try to stop by when its not raining. This will take about 30-45 minutes to see. $15 entry is a little bit steep, but I do this it was worth seeing. Its about 40 minutes south of the Dadeland Mall if traveling on the #1/DixieLand highway.
