My room was clean. The hotel location was very near my business destination. Near Hospital. My only complaint wasn't about the hotel, but rather about some crazy train engineer who was leaning on the horn allllll night. Bring earplugs. Sleep well. McDonalds is right next door.More

I was a bit leery at first but when I arrived and entered my room I was extremely impressed.
The first thing that made me comfortable was the security screen in the lobby. Obviously there are security cameras everywhere.
The rooms were large and clean. The bed was very comfortable.
The staff was very friendly..
I highly recommend it for anyone and will stay again.

The outside appearance of this motel is nice at first glance, the rooms however are very old and in desperate need of updating. The bathroom was so bad, no one showered. While walking to our vehicle we saw hypo needles laying around. We asked for additional pillows and were told they had none. We slept with one eye open and left very early next morning, never again.....we will pass on Motel 6 in the future.

Our non-smoking room had 3 cigarette burns on the tub and when we first entered, the place reeked like cigar smoke. The place needs TLC badly. Don't think we'll stay here again. The staff was friendly. Not too sure of the neighborhood either. Had a sign outside saying to lock your vehicles and hide your valuables.

The signs are posted outside for the guest safety. It doesn't mean that the area is bad. There is no harm taking an extra precautions for our valuables we left behind in cars.

Beside I-20, exit 852A, Laurel avenue while traveling West. Not in the GPS. Hard to find with the address they have.
Reasonable rate. okay for overnight stay.
Bathtub is not clean. Do they clean at all - a question.
restaurant is near quite a few American and Mexican restaurant. Parking is plenty. Free wifi, free parking.
Not far from Lamar University.

The motel 6 website implied this was a new Motel 6. Yes, but it was a very old La Quinta that is being refurbished. The lobby is under construction. The rooms are very old looking. The tub had years of caulking around the edges and was stained from years of not being cleaned well enough. We would not use the tub it was so gross looking. The signage was very hard to see and we missed it on the first pass.
The only good things about this hotel is that front desk clerk was very nice and the wifi was strong and fast! I would not stay at this motel again due to the location.
