I ordered sweet and sour chicken and vegetable fried rice for takeout. The rice was tolerable, but extremely over-priced. The chicken was mostly soggy breading that tasted like it was a frozen product heated in the oven. Not at all fried and crispy as I expected. The sauce was sweet---period. No tang, no sour, and it was gooey. There were two pieces of pineapple, one small piece of onion and no peppers. Totally tasteless and I threw it away after eating a few bites. These two items cost almost $22. Much too expensive. On a Sunday evening there were two tables occupied and this was almost the only restaurant open in town!!!

Always busy at lunch. Not so much at dinner. Food isn't great, service is even less so. Quick and reasonably priced

For a small town, Los Alamos has a surprising number of decent Chinese restaurants, and this is probably the best of the bunch. The menu is extensive and samples a number of regional Chinese sub-cuisines, with nothing too out of the ordinary (this isn't San Francisco's Chinatown we're talking about) but enough variety to satisfy. Dinners are served seven nights a week, no small advantage in a town that tends to roll up the streets early on Sundays. A rather sparse buffet is offered for weekday lunches that is of decent quality but not on a par with the dinner menu. Service is generally very good, and it is surprisingly -- almost alarmingly -- uncrowded at dinnertime. You shouldn't have to wait to be seated. A full selection of take-out is available.

The food is good, but pricey. Every now and then we'll go there just for a change of pace. Service is just ok. Food is good, but nothing special. We usually go to China Moon just because it's fast and for the money you get more.

The buffet is the best in Los Alamos. They are always very friendly. The food is hot and is constantly being refilled. They place is clean and it's not expensive. I've only been for lunch.
