“Good but expensive”
Reviewed August 14, 2013

The food is great but the pricing gets ridiculous. With well liquors at 5$ a shot and anything nicer starting in the 10$ range you better stick to the beer (4.50$). Don't even look at their "top shelf" with Glenmorangie at 18$ a shot and plenty of other laughable prices going up to 28$. Even the Maker's Mark is 8-10$ (I never seem to get the same price from different bartenders). Skip the truffle fries (the are oily and taste nothing of truffle) and I would skip the sweet potato fries as well (they were coated in brown sugar, too sweet for me). The burgers are great but start in the 10$ range before you even add the 1$ for green chile. Service at the bar is great and the bartenders leave nothing to desire, sit anywhere else and it could take you half an hour just to get your beer.

“Currently the best place in town”
Reviewed August 13, 2013

Certainly as gauged from the number of locals who come here. It can be tough to get a table from sometime before 6 until after 8. Small menu, but the food is well done. Good range of beers on tap. My only disappointment was one time when the salad greens were tired. That's only one time out of several.

“Not just another Pub”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

Headed to this location for early dinner while on vacation. About half full around 5 pm and appeared to cater to locals with one young family in attendance. Choice of booths, tables or the bar, the pub offers several screens featuring whatever sports channel is available. Not a wild place, just laid back friends, conversation and a very full selection of draft and bottle beers. The Guinness shepherds pie was excellent and very reasonably priced and would suspect if there were more time, we probably would return to sample more of the menu. Clean with an attentive wait staff.

“Tasty - even if it wasnt the only place around...”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

Late night. Draft root beer. truffle mac n cheese. Good pub food and fun PHD patrons. I came three times and enjoyed good burgers with green chiles, truffle mac n cheese, and serious onion rings. I always got root beer. Delicious. It is pricey and the only thing open, but a good addition to that community.

“New place to go”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

This pub does offer a good rye sandwich a variety of hamburgers but I would skip the expensive truffle fries as you can hardly taste the truffle oil. Quite loud but a popular place for the younger crowd.
