Enjoyed two stops here while I was in town. First of all, it is not a brewpub. Not nary a beer is produced here. They do however have a decent selection of beers on draft. Had the fish and chips one stop and a burger the other time. Both good and more than enough food. Prices are good and the service was not too bad. Gets kinda busy in the evenings so be patient.

Did our annual trip down to New Mexico. Fifth day into our vacation we in Santa Fe and planned a day for Bandelier National Monument. Stopped into Los Alamos for lunch. Our first option was closed, with no back up plan we decided to go here. Worst mistake of our 2 week vacation.

First issue was the food, overpriced and mediocre at best. Very bland. Won't go into detail about the food as the service was even worse. It was an early lunch and there were only 4 other tables occupied. Ordering was quick and easy, but as soon as the waitress took our order, she was no where to be found. Never came back for refills, we had to go to the bar ourselves to get our drinks refilled. Then it took quite of bit of time to get our food. Got a lame excuse as to why our order was taking so long. We would not have minded if they were busy, but we were the only table that ordered during this time. When we finally received our meals, what a disappointment. During this entire time, the waitress stopped by once...never refilling any of our drinks.

Out of all the places that we have eaten here in in Los Alamos, this is by far the best food that we have had. I was surprised that its Yelp ratings were not hire. We had visited another restaurant earlier in the evening and were so disappointed in the food that we left hungry and unsatisfied. We came down to Pajarito Brewpub to get a beer and some munchies and were wishing that we would have come here for dinner.

the beer selection is great with a lot of local and western beers from small brewers. The selection was great. We tried the Santa Fe Brewing Happy Camper and a seasonal pilsner from the same brewery. Both of them were great. The pilsner was excellent; light, crisp and smooth. The IPA was hoppy with undertones of citrus and a crisp bite to it.

We ended up ordering more food. We ordered fish and chips ($10.00) and a grilled cheese ($7.00). The fish and chips were done in a beer batter and were your traditional fish. The fish was not very greasy and had lots of delicious crunchies on them. The fries were small shoestring fires and were also very tasty. The fish was also served with nice coleslaw to round it out.

The grilled cheese was made with three different cheeses and pesto sauce. It comes on marbled rye regularly, but you can ask to substitute breads, which we did for a nice sour dough variety. The grilled cheese also came with shoestring fries.

We enjoyed our second meal of the night much more than the first. The service was pleasant and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable.

To be fair, the Brewpub is a relatively new joint in town and experiences some growing pains like all new restaurants. I have eaten here twice and we had friendly, if somewhat harried, service and good meals. The fish and chips were a good substitute for my beloved midwestern Friday night fish fry and the sandwiches that my dinner companions had were tasty and substantial. Beer choices were vast and varied so if trying a new brew is your thing, this is the place to be. Busy nights can see wait-lines out the door so have a backup restaurant in mind or be prepared for a wait enjoying the sunset. We'll keep coming back!

On a slow Monday night. Waited 30 minutes to place an order, ended up walking to kitchen to place order. Then waited another 45 minutes to get a beverage. Food was lackluster and overpriced (I had a burger). Fries were so so. I stiffed the waitstaff for the worst service ever.
