“can't beat it for the price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2013 via mobile

I take my family here all the time. you can count on Rigoberto's for good basic Mexican food at a fair price. I give it 4 stars an average of three for the food and 5 for the value.

“Favorite Family Eatery”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 22, 2013

El Rigoberto's is our favorite place to eat out as a family, especially now that Hill Diner and De Colores are closed. The kids always find something they like, and the prices and portions are probably the best in town, including the two fast places (bleh). The menu has amazing variety, and I've enjoyed everything I've tried. As another reviewer mentioned, their tortillas are excellent; we love to take a bag home. The staff is always friendly. Caveat emptor: This is Mexican cuisine, not New Mexican. Not a bad thing, in my book!

“Good, inexpensive Mexican, not New Mexican, food.”

Their chicken burrito has a nice red sauce. It is very good. Also, I like their carne asada burrito. Decent food, cheap.

“It's basically a taco stand that happens to have seating”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2013

The food tastes like a taco stand, quick and a little greasy and overall pretty good. The staff is friendly. I liked the tacos especially, it seems like they make their own tortillas or at least use somebody who makes them from scratch, and they apparently fry the taco shells themselves. It results in warped, authentic taco shell, and the fillings are very good. Beans and rice are nothing special, I probably would order ala carte next time. Rellenos and enchiladas are good too. Since this building used to be a pizza hut, the atmosphere is pretty dreadful, and it's the kind of place that skimps on the periphal things (plastic not silverware, paper plates, Styrofoam cups, cheap tables) but makes up for it with the quality of the food. If it was just a taco stand with a few tables instead of a restaurant I bet it would get even better reviews.

“Fresh authentic tacos”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013

Their carne asada tacos are top notch! They have a small but good salsa bar. Tacos can be ordered al a carte for better value, without beans and rice. The location could be a lot better, but that can be said for every other place here in town.
