“Great view overlooking the Rio Grande”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 3, 2013

Small parking area with a very short walk to the overlook and all handicap accessible. Views are great. There is a waterfall in the canyon beside the overlook and you can see the water coming from the top and then see the secondary falls below that. Very nice.

“A Great Find with a Panoramic, Private View”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013

A local friend took us here on the way back to Santa Fe from Bandelier National Monument. We followed the signs in White Rock to the public park, parked the car and took in an amazing view. The waterfall behind us to the left was spectacular, even though it was the end of summer. Below the overlook you can see the Rio Grande winding its way south and great views in all directions. Even on this holiday, weekend there was no one else around. Be sure to make this quick detour on your trip to this area.

“A beautiful place to visit!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013

Everyone should see this at least once. Last time I was there in August the waterfalls on the left were dry but in spring they are a sight to see. Standing on the edge looking down at the Rio Grande is so quiet and peaceful. Take time to visit! From Los Alamos take route 4 to White Rock. Left at the first light, left at the first side street and follow the signs. You will be glad you did. No food, no water, no facilities here but it's free and a great place for a picnic. Permanent public restrooms are at the softball field on the right just before you get to Overlook Park.

“Do Not Miss This!!!! And it's free.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2013

This little gem is 2 minutes from the main road at the Bandelier National Monument Visitors Center. It's tucked in back of a city park with baseball diamonds and a recycling center but don't let that fool you. The view from the edge is awesome! Be careful with dogs and small children, the viewing platform has a railing but the walkway leading up to it is very close to a drop off.

“You can see Colorado and canyons from here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2013

I never expected a view like this in the back of a neighborhood in White Rock. Wow. Vast canyons and a 280 degree view. The Blue dot trail leads from here as well. A 5 minute drive from town and you are in canyon country with no civilization ion the horizon. Great find.
