“Looking for a little local flavor?”

You will get a lot here! It is definitely a BAR. We thought it looked kitchy from the outside, but the inside proved otherwise. The place held the stench of bleach which made our meal less than appetizing. Must have had a lot to clean up from the night before. At least it was clean! Our waitress was very friendly and was the cook and cashier too. Food is breaded and microwaved. They were out of pizza which seemed the safest item on the menu. Maybe if you go there at night when the lights are low the place holds up better. Dollars tacked to the ceiling and walls show it is a hot spot at some time! I'd say enter at your own risk as it is NOT for the average traveler!

“Busy”

Liked that you could eat outside. Piano player was a bit much for a biker bar or family restaurant. Food was good and reasonable.

“Burger”

We had good, not great burgers here. The service was good and the beer was cold so what more can one expect. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed.

“Good Value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2013

Upon a recommendation from the staff at the Badlands Inn we had dinner at the Wagon Wheel. It is very reasonable- $33 for 4 dinners, 2 beers and 2 cans of pop. The food was good, we ordered buffalo burgers which I thought were over done & the kids had chicken strips which were tasty. My onion rings were very good. The service was great, very friendly and welcoming. It was a little warm in the restaurant even though there were only a few other people. There is not a lot of dining options and this place hit the spot. They also have pizza and a few other fried items. A full bar too.

“A great little hostelry and friendly too”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

Arriving late at Circle View Ranch, we were hungry and not expecting too much out of a little place like Interior (population 67) but the Wagon Wheel was just what we needed. We sat at the bar and drank Schlitz beers and ordered Pizza which was brilliant. The toppings were generous and it was freshly cooked by the friendly staff. We got chatting with the owner, Mr. Johnston, never got his first name but he was very pleasant, and told us about the region.

Good old-fashioned hospitality, great food and a good selection of beers. You will enjoy this place if you happen to be in Interior, SD

By the way, they do steak sandwiches and burgers which are good, but the pizza is the best. We didn't quite have the courage to try the gizzards!
