“Awesome kebabs, limited parking”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

Consistently good food. Daily specials. Quick service. You can call ahead and the food is ready when you go in to pick it up. Parking can be tough at noon or prime dinner time. Worth it, though.

“Very very consistant kabobs”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

For lunch, you cannot beat the basic chicken kabob platter with rice and salad and bread. Very very consistant--call ahead about 15 minutes and it'll be waiting for you. Cannot be beat for combination of price and value. Will grant that Amoos is more the place to go if you need a fancier meal, but this is the spot if you need an excellent platter for under $10.

“Fast and tasty”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

This restaurant was across the street from the hotel that I was staying at, so thought I would try it. The kabobs were delicious and the service quick. I would go there again.

“Just a sandwich place”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

The lamb was not impressive as further down the road at Amoos, which was amazing. Still, if you want some fast Persian food, why not? Perhaps the beef and chicken is better- I didn't try those.

“Wonderful, Authentic Persian Kabobs”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

An odd name (what does the Great White Whale have to do with kabobs or Persia?), but a great place.

I’ve been eating the kabobs at Moby Dick for close to two decades. I’ve introduced friends and family to the place, and I’ll continue going back.

While the service, prices and food are all excellent here (at least by the standards of a casual eating establishment), it’s really all about the food here. Whether you order a kabob platter or sandwich, or one of the daily specials, there’s no skimping. The meats are all nicely seasoned, grilled to perfection and bursting with flavor. The flat bread comes right out of the tandoor-style oven and is a perfect accompaniment to the rich kabobs. If you order a platter, be sure to ask for some of the ta-dig, the crust that forms on the bottom of the rice pot. It’s a crispy treat with a texture that complements the rice.

The drill here … line up at the counter, place your order and pay for it, then find a table and wait for your number to be called. There’s no table service here, and only soft drinks, and you have to bus your tray when you leave. Like I said, casual dining. But it’s always busy, especially at lunch time, and it never fails to delight.
