My husband and I enjoyed a lovely three night stay here. The Look Out room is good value, has a private balcony and is close to the breakfast area. The bed is wonderful and the room spotless. The inn provides wonderful shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion and shower cap. The breakfasts were delicious with many choices and the coffee was excellent. If you are visiting in the warm months, try to stay enough nights to allow yourself time to enjoy the pool area in the heat of the afternoon. You will be glad you did this! I also highly recommend the hike along the East Rim of the cannon at Dead Horse State Park. It is some of the most spectacular scenery I have ever seen and you can avoid the crowds at Arches. Lovely place, lovely staff. You will be happy you chose the Sunflower Hill Luxury Inn!

Moab is one of our favorite places on the planet and so we needed lodging for a few days to explore all that there was to offer. Sunflower Hill worked out for us very well in terms of location, pleasant and helpful staff and owners, and, most important, the wonderful breakfasts.
As has been reported in other reviews, there are two adjacent houses surrounded by lovely gardens with a walkway connecting them. There is a pool onsite as well.
While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming inn and would certainly recommend it, I would not necessarily describe it as a luxury inn as it is advertised because the rooms could use some updating.

We can't say enough wonderful things about this B and B. We spent three nights. Our rooms were outside the main house, in the second house. We stayed in the Garrett Rooms. The size of the rooms were wonderful for all four of us. Amenities were beyond what anyone could expect. The grounds are exceptionally well maintained. You felt like you were in an oasis in the desert. Even though you were just off the main street, it felt secluded and quiet. The pool was an excellent size and included a hot tub. Towels and robes were provided for your trips to the pool. At all times there were cookies and snacks available for everyone. Hot tea was always waiting in the kitchen area. They also provide a collection of DVDs. The room contained a mini-fridge, two TVs, and a balcony.

One of the very best services was the daily breakfast. It was not just any breakfast, but each day there was variety in hot and cold breakfast items. The special breakfast juice was amazing as were the breakfast casseroles each day. The Garret rooms were just above the breakfast area and yet we never heard any noises, it was super quiet!

Above all of the great decor and little touches that made you feel like a five star resort, the staff was exceptional and super friendly. They not only went out of their way to make you feel like the only guest there, they were attentive and provided information about the area. I would love to go back to Moab just to spend time at the Sunflower!

This beautiful inn is in a quiet area of Moab, near enough to walk to the centre of town with shops and restaurants, but in a tucked-away little cul-de-sac for peace and tranquility. We stayed here for four nights in the Apple Cellar - a really good sized room, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated and furnished and with its own access to the grounds. Set downstairs from the lounge area, it was cool and quiet. Other reviewers have mentioned all the bonuses of staying at this inn - and there are many little thoughtful touches that make it such a lovely place to stay. When you arrive, as well as being made welcome, you are given free audio guides to Canyonlands and Arches, a map of Moab with local restaurants and a supermarket clearly marked and a list of the top ten things to do in Moab. In your room you will find a magazine that has menus from all the local restaurants and in the lounge area, should you need any inspiration, there are files where residents have recorded good outings, good restaurants , good shops and good hikes. There are also guide books available in the lounge, which is a beautiful room and has hot drinks and snacks available for residents all day. Other facilities include a pantry selling drinks and snacks, a laundry with washer and dryer (free to use), a fridge to store your bits and pieces and free wifi. Breakfasts are self service in the dining room and are very good quality - we particularly liked the banana and blueberry muffins and all the beautiful fresh fruit. Then, last but by no means least, are the staff who are helpful, pleasant and informative. The lady who greeted us, learning that bird watching was an interest, ran a whole load of information about bird watching in Moab from the computer and it was really useful. So, in conclusion, our stay really was quite simply wonderful.

Room Tip: this property is spread over two houses, Ranch House and Garden Cottage - breakfast is in the Ranch House but we stayed in the Garden Cottage and it was quiet and extremely comfortable

The 12 room Sunflower Inn is terrific. Numerous nice touches

1. We stayed in the Loft room. Four windows made it very light. Great linens and well thought out room

2. Free guest laundry. This was really nice after traveling the southwest for a week

3. Delicious and healthy and hearty breakfasts in delightful dining room

4. Wonderful box breakfast for the 2 mornings we left at 615AM for hikes. OJ, homemade muffin, hard boiled egg, yogurt, homemade granola and fresh made coffee out before we left.

5. Refreshing swimming pool for pm swim after hiking. Also a nice hot tub.

6. Many nice touches. Beautiful flowers all over the property. Rocking chairs on the porch. PM cookies and pastries. Free M@Ms and peanuts always out. Guest refrigerator. Handout on our arrival of guest recommended fine and casual dining restaurants ranked from 1 to 7. Other handouts on top businesses in town for bikes rentals, jeep rentals and tours, etc.

7. Very friendly staff.

8. With 5 day stay we received a nice discount.

Could have stayed 7 to 10 days at the Sunflower and would have loved it.

Note. Only negative was wifi was down for 80% of our stay. They would reset it immediately if we called but in a place where everything was perfect, a nuisance. Wifi was fast when working.
