“Good Experience!”

Good Experience! we appreciated the a/c during the heat wave (119 degrees). there is a 200 character minimum here and I am all done. the site is still unhappy so I am continuing to type. Hopefully third time is the charm so I will click submit again.

Stayed at the lodge for two nights. The unit was smartly furnished and was centrally located. -1 for finding pet hair on the comforters. None of us had a problem with that and we just replaced the comforters with the extra blankets that were provided.

Yikes! So sorry we missed the pet hair. Housekeeping is extra diligent when we have had pet guests in a room, but apparently we slipped up. I will pass this along to our cleaning staff as a reminder to be extra vigilant after pet stays. Thank you for taking the time to let us know. Please come again.

I stayed in Unit 1, a so called "suite" on Rosetea for two nights with two friends. We were told it would be clean and there would be three beds. Upon opening the door, we were greeted by an awful musty smell, two bedrooms with two beds and no pullout couch. So two of us had to double up in one very soft bed. The flloors were dirty, tubs dirty, and very dusty and it resembled a rundown cottage. Two nights costed $300+, not worth it. The tub in one bathroom backed up filthy water and did not drain. Subsequently, all three of us had to use one bathroom. WiFi only worked in the livingroom. Furniture was old and rustic. If you like rustic, great! The place looked like a DIY repair job which was left unfinished. Base molding was missing in places, unpainted and sloppy plaster repaired walls, broken lamps and/or bulbs, and one bathroom (the one with the tub that drained) had once upon a time shower doors that was replaced by a nasty shower curtain. The towels looked and smelled dirty and/or used and not laundered, smelled moldy, as did the sheets. The bath mats had definitely not lbeen laundered The air conditioner was super loud and it was placed in one of the bedrooms which was not condusive to sleeping. To turn it on was weird, a pump needed to be primed and run for one minute, a window gapped for start up, then turned to high. Never saw an AC unit for public use like this one. The refrigerator was a great asset and the kitchen sink was a nicety for cleaning the glasses which looked dirty and used. There was no housekeeping service while we stayed there, so no clean towels, no removal of trash, or cleaning of the rooms during our stay. For the price we paid, housekeeping should have be included like normal hotels. The office employee was very nice and helpful in suggesting local restaurants as well as must sees in visiting the Canyonlands, and Arches National Parks.
I would say that Unit 1 on Rosetea was one step up from camping in a tent.

Thank you for your comments, we grow from every type of feedback. Usually when a guest is so unhappy, they let us know right away. We would gladly have moved you to a different property that better suited your needs, or helped to find you a different lodging. We will ALWAYS try to make our guests satisfied, even if it means helping them find alternate accommodations - the last thing we want is an unhappy guest. The desk clerk made a note upon your departure that you mentioned "one of the tubs is draining kind of slow". If we don't know about it, we cannot fix the problem. As to the cooling system, evaporative coolers are widely used in the desert climate and are very effective - they do take a bit of explanation for those who are unfamiliar with them, and that is why we have instructions posted. I regret that we were not given the chance to make your stay more enjoyable.

I was very pleased with everything about Kokopelli Lodge. Great location only a block from Main st. Our room was perfect very clean and fresh. Cute little table and chairs to sit on out our front door. The girl that got us checked in was very sweet and professional. If we come come back to Moab we will definitely be staying here again.

Was in Moab, for two days. Had a nice stay at Kokopelli. The room had two rooms and a couch. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. The swamp cooler in our room worked really good (almost to good). It has two settings on/off, it is not controlled by the thermostat, it got very chilly at night. The back of the suites had a nice fenced in area with grass and chairs. This area was great for our dog, we could let her run around back there and play fetch. There is a community grill and a hot tub behind the suites. The hot tub was clean and worked well. I don't think it gets much use. We took a dip but could not stay in to long because the fumes from the chemicals were to strong (I think from a lack of use). Overall we had a great stay, I plan on staying here again on my next trip to Moab.

Room Tip: This place is great if you are traveling with a pet. A lot of businesses make you sign a pet policy...

Green Features: The room has a recycle container and guests are asked to place their recyclables into the container. The room had trash cans, but no trash bags. Guests are expected to take out their own trash.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at the Kokopelli Suites and found it to be a great place with your pet. Hot tub chemical levels are dictated by the State Health Department, so we have very little latitude in that area. You will be happy to know, however, that instead of using chlorine, which is very hard on your skin, we use bromine, a much less harsh way to sanitize the water, and much safer in general. We look forward to your next visit!

Definitely recommend for families. Suites are well equipped with necessities. Bathroom had a persistent stuffy smell but keeping the window open helped. Unfortunately, previous tenants had not cleaned the mugs and dishes well.
No swimming pool or breakfast included.

We stayed at the lodge for 3 nights while visiting Arches and Canyonlands. The room was comfortable and conveniently located. If we ever come back to Moab we wouldn't mind staying here again. We enjoyed going to Milt's Stop and Eat while we were in town for dinner one night and ice cream another.
