Hotel very well placed in the town but quite no noise. good facilities pleasant room and excellent breakfast. Excellently situated for the Arches National Park. Breakfast was of a good standard and had plenty of variety. Staff pleasant and friendly.

Room Tip: In a two storey hotel always go for an upper floor not disturbed by people walking on your head.

We decided to stay at Canyonlands Inn based on the many positive reviews. All I can say is thanks to all those reviewers. We have stayed in hotels all over the Southwest and this is one of the great ones. First, it is located in the center of town, within walking distance of most of the business and restaurants in Moab. We entered the lobby to check in and the clerk was holding our reservation just waiting for us to arrive. And, there were the fresh cookies in the lobby.

The room was clean, bed was great, everything was just like we wanted it to be. The first day we went out for breakfast. There was a place down the street that I wanted to try. The next day we opted for the continental breakfast at the motel. In most ways, the Canyonlands breakfast was our best breakfast in Moab. If you're looking for a place to stay in Moab, you can't do better than the Best Western Plus Canyonlands Inn.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Canyonlands Inn for four nights the first week in April. Overall this is a nice property, although if you are planning a trip to Moab in April and you like peace and quiet, be sure to check on the spring break schedule of public schools in Utah and surrounding states. Staying at the hotel were a significant number of children under the age of 12 whose parents seemed to have given up trying to keep them from running, yelling and banging around both in hallways and rooms. The insulation – both for sound and for thumping/jumping children – is not very good. Three rooms full of children across the hall from ours had their doors propped open for hours, creating a cacophony.

Our king room was large, nicely decorated and very clean. The sofa was comfortable, as was the easy chair. There was a large desk and ample drawer space. The closet area is very small. Lighting in the room is poor – at night, it is not possible to read while sitting on the sofa. The single-serve coffee packets provided brew coffee that is undrinkable, but fortunately the coffee urn in the lobby is kept full all day. The hotel has an unintelligible room cleaning policy: every day, you are expected to fill out a card ticking a box saying how much room cleaning you want done. For example: change towels and take out trash is the intermediate choice between “complete cleaning” and “do nothing”. There is no provision for what to us is an obvious choice: make the bed and take out the trash, but leave the towels and sheets for re-use.

The breakfast room is undersized, and the breakfast offerings are not inspired: tired scrambled eggs, unripe fruit, poor selection of pastries and jams, and a toaster conveyor belt that warms but does not toast.

The hotel is well-located, right across from the Visitors’ Center and near restaurant and shops. Unfortunately, an adjacent restaurant has very loud music on weekend evenings: don’t plan on doing anything that requires concentration until after 10:30 PM. Also, be warned that the hotel rents three suites located on the 2nd floor of this restaurant building.

Our summary rating is 3, although a 3.5 is perhaps not too generous.

We booked a 2 queen bed suite room as we were staying here for 4 nights in the middle of our 4 week holiday. We paid slightly more to have a suite room (as this was our longest stay in one place) as the extra sitting area space enabled us to sort out all our luggage!

Although the room was large the bathroom was a bit on the small size however there was a seperate sink area outside the bathroom (as well as there being a sink area inside the bathroom). I didn't like the fact that there was an inch gap under the bathroom door! There was also a large fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. The beds were comfy and the plug sockets on the lamps were much better than wall sockets as it made charing the camera batteries a lot easier (especially as the adaptor plugs tend to pull out of the wall sockets).

The breakfast area was fab. There could have been more space around the actual food area but the seating area outside was lovely. Being able to sit outside on the balcony sat in the sun eating breakfast was great.

The pool was a decent size however the water was a bit cold. There was also a group of 6 loud slightly intoxicated people dominating the pool area on the one occassion we used it which put us off a bit as they were a bit intimidating but that was not the hotels fault.

Overall a great hotel in a great location in Moab right by some great restaurants.

Well built multilevel hotel. Unusually well maintained and clean. Friendly helpful staff. Pleasant rooftop breakfast patio. Good location in the midst of the bustling downtown. Front rooms over the pool have some traffic noise (the hotel being located along the main road). Back rooms are quiet.

Small critiques: walls a little thin and could hear people.
Slight noisy air conditioner
