We chose to stay at the Moab KOA because it was one of the few places we found d in the area that would take an online reservation. I wish we had done more research, because our stay there was quite unpleasant. We were tent camping there for 2 nights while we visited Arches and Canyonlands. It was 105 degrees while we were there--granted, not the campground's fault. but there was absolutely NO SHADE in our little campsite. Imagine no shade in 105 degree weather. We resorted to crouching next to our car once the sun got low enough to cast a shadow!
The service wasn't too great either. The ladies in the store who checked us in didn't smile or say anything like "enjoy your stay" or "have a nice day." We felt pretty unwelcome.
Also, the swimming pool was closed the day we arrived, and the showers--though working--were cold if more than a couple of people were showering at once. Seriously, I'm paying $30 a night for a crappy campsite. I should at least get a warm shower a the end of the day to make up for it right?
If I ever find myself in Moab again, I will not be staying at the KOA. More
