We booked two rooms for a late October one-night stay. For whatever reason, they decided to charge us the early September rate (much higher); it took a few trips to the front desk to get them to make the adjustment, and then they only did so on one room. The reservation was made directly through the chain, so it seemed like opportunistic price gouging to me, and unfortunate that the front desk was not more responsive.
The hotel is located on Main amidst a dozen similar places. The rooms are large and clean, and can accommodate six people with two on a pull-out bed. Great views of the parking lot next door, but we were near the back so it was relatively quiet. One member of our party had an allergic reaction to whatever chemical they use on their linens -- we travel a lot and that's a first.
The breakfast: typical chain, with cellophane-packaged pastries, juices of dubious provenance, hard-boiled eggs, and the like. The good news is that Comfort is within walking distance of decent coffee, Moab Garage. That I can recommend.
I had an early morning international phone meeting, and housekeeping started banging on the door. It wasn't even 9 am -- they should know who has checked out and who has not. A minor annoyance, but the capstone to what was otherwise a mixed and not entirely pleasant experience.
