We stayed at Moab Flats on a recent trip through Utah. I don't want to call it a 'hotel' as that really doesn't do justice to what it is. It's a small collection (8 rooms, I believe) of incredible well appointed 'lofts' located just off the main drag in Moab.
The location is perfect - easy walking access to the main areas of down town, but far enough way not to deal with any noise or traffic. There’s a park/bike path just across the street that our kids loved, and it’s an easy ride from the place to the shuttle locations for the classic bike rides in Moab.
The room we stayed in was very nicely put together. It was beautifully decorated; almost a New York Loft meets Moab Funkiness fusion. The space is very well utilized, with a loft and Murphy bed in the main living area, a full kitchen, in-room washer/dryer and plenty of areas to just relax. The beds were comfortable. The unit was immaculately clean. I would have no issues with a long-term stay in such a room.
The outside areas are amazing as well. It's perfect for folks coming to Moab for a mountain bike trip. They have a secure building with hanging racks for bike storage, and have a bike stand, pump and wash area, not to mention the in-room washer/dryer. There's a massive hot tub, a nice grill, a gas fire pit and tons of seating. It's broken up enough that you can have multiple groups outside without feeling like you're on top of each other.
This is the nicest place we've seen in Moab, and will definitely be staying there again on our next trip.
