We tent camped here one night. No water available so bring your own. Pit toilets are there for when nature come calling, and provide a interesting experience, pooping under the stars or sun, since they are roofless. We were "lucky" enough to set up our tents during 40 mph wind with a lot of dust. Scared we would be blown away we did not spend much time at the campground, rather we went out to arches and saw the sights there. We also only left our tents set up to secure our spot, and had to make sure the tent was super secured with stakes and tie downs. The nature of the land provides very little in the way of wind protection and or shade. Very basic campground that will get you close to town. Great base site, but very rustic.

Room Tip: Find a flat spot up wind of the outhouses ;)

This campsite is first come, first serve so we were really nervous just showing up there but there was a ton of open campsites (they have 150 sites) even though it was a Friday morning in the middle of June. Since we were worried, we considered making a reservation at a campsite in town but after seeing that you just camp on a lawn we decided against it and I am so glad we did. We stayed two nights and it was $10 a night.

It is beautiful and we had campsite F all to our selves. There was a picnic table and fire ring and the scenery was amazing. They have clean, out-house type bathrooms with nothing to wash your hands and a dumpster in the middle of the park that we took our trash to every night so the animals wouldn't get into it.

The only thing was that a Jeep trail goes through campsite F and we had some loud people on the trail at 6 am one morning which was a little annoying but it was actually pretty awesome because we got to see Jeeps go up a really steep hill all day (for those who like more peace and quiet I would recommend checking which campsites have trails through them).

Room Tip: It takes quite a bit of time to get in and out of camp to town so A-D campsites are closer and quick...

We stayed at this campsite for two nights. It's very convenient to Moab. There are A LOT of campsites but they do a great job of spreading them out so that it doesn't feel crowded. The first night was clear and beautiful, but the second night was very windy and unfortunately our site didn't give us any protection so we were pretty miserable - that's the nature of camping though! Each campsite group (of about 10 sites) has a open air latrine, and I appreciated that it was always stocked with TP.

We stayed in the G loop, which was mostly other tent campers. Our site easily fit two cars and two tents. Nice fire pit and table too. Would definitely go back. Cheaper than other campsites in Utah at $10 per car per night.

I've spent years, decades really camping in this area both during the quiet serene times and during Jeep Safari. Great semi primitive camping. Much to see and explore. This is a mountain biking Mecca near the SlickRock Trail and in the heart of jeeping paradise. Fins N Things jeep trail weaves itself through several of the campsites. We use this area as our base of operations usually biking right from camp. All that is provided is a table, fire ring and within walking distance to pit toilets. A number of sites are snuggled up in the surrounding sandstone making for an other worldy experience. Bring your own water and firewood.

Room Tip: You bring your own everything.

We camped here for three nights in the A loop of campsites. Checked in on a Monday and found plenty of open sites. Checked out all of the other loops and be careful when they post 4x4 recommended they aren't kidding. We were towing a 26 ft travel trailer and almost got it stuck in the sand checking out the E loop. D loop had some fantastic tent sties and a few RV spots but it was full. Each site had a fire ring, picnic table and vault toilets near by. There are many popular 4x4 trails near by and the slick rock trail is across for the B loop. Arches National Park, which is a must see, is 20 minutes away.

Beautiful large campsites under rocks and in the sand. Amazing landscape. It was windy and hot. The stargazing was amazing.
