“What a view!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

Drive up a narrow, gravel road to this restaurant. Interior sorta dated...but service was very good. Food was good...and a lot of it. Might want to do the awesome portabella mushroom appetizer and a salad (which was wonderful and large) and you would be very satisfied. Add a soup and you would be really full. The steak was okay...nothing special. Shrimp w/rice, good. The view is worth the price. Waitress (she had a radio show) was excellent.

“Great view, inferior food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

The steep drive up the unpaved, unmaintained road is rather exciting and the view from the restaurant is impressive. But the food was really disappointing. Bland, poorly prepared, fish supposedly local but not at all fresh. Maybe we were there on an off day but we were very puzzled to have read so many positive reviews of this place and to have had such a different experience ourselves.

“To for the view but not for the food”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013 via mobile

Driving by the location for a day of hiking, I thought it might be a nice place to dine out. I was correct. It was physically a nice location - set up on the side if a hill overlooking moab, it looked wonderful. The interior was dated but still respectful. Until the food.
My girl ordered the filet mignon medium well. Well, it came out burnt on tx outside and stiff ad a board inside. Seriously, any amateur could have done that! So, we request for a medium well again but this time it comes back medium rare. So we return it a third time and it still comes back wrong.
My girl did not want to bother with it and ate what she could.
Woefully I ordered the chicken Sofia which was dry chicken topped with Ragu sauce. Wow
So basically you are paying for the view. Not the food.

Must check out the remainder of their menu. Comfortable ambiance in this old home of Charlie Steen. Beer options also a +

“What a great place!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2013

After 3 days of trails, we went to the Sunset Grill for dinner. No reservations, just stopped in. They sat us right away, we got there at 7pm. Just in time for a beautiful sunset!!!
Our server, Sherri, was amazing from the moment we got there. She was so friendly, so helpful, and we just loved her. Our meal was one of the best meals we have ever had, I had the prime rib and my husband had the bacon wrapped filet mignon. They were cooked perfectly, and so delicious! When we come back to Moab, we'll be going back and I hope that Sherri is still there!!! I'll be asking for her!!!!
