The Red Cliffs is a nice lodge sitting in the most beautiful valley in Moab I believe. The rooms are very nice with small kitchenette and sofa. We were able to stay on a last minute deal rate of half off which made it a great deal compared to other hotels in Moab. I think full price it would be way too much for the place. Our room was not cleaned the 1st night (beds not made, etc). I like the re-use of towels policy however. But they made up for it the next night and even did our dirty dishes! The staff at the front desk was very friendly. The king bed was very comfy and the pillows were fluffy however there was only a single thin blanket which on the cold nights we were there was not enough. The heater sucked! There is no thermostat and you can have heat/cold on high/low or off and the fan was noisy. Therefore we got up several times at night to turn the heat on then again off later, etc. The pool was also under repair while we were there. The hot tub was nice and warm however the jets didn't work. It is 14 miles out of town so that gets a little old driving to/from town and Arches Nat'l Park, especially at night. The winery and restaurant attached is convenient however the restaurant is expensive. The service at the winery was horrible. You only got to taste 3 wines and she didn't talk much about the wines and barely poured any wine into the glasses. Compared to other wineries that let you taste their entire selection, we were disappointed. I believe we were in and out of the wine tasting in 15 minutes! But the view more than made up for it all and would stay again give the 1/2 off rate! We were there 1st weekend in April and the weather was cold and rainy and snowy but it was still a great weekend getaway from Denver!

We found this Lodge through word of mouth. The sceenery is heavenly. The rooms are spacious and clean with a lot of classic touches. The staff is super nice and you can tell the Lodge values them. They are prompt and professional, but also fun and know the area well. The wine is a nice touch for a Utah lodge and very good to to enjoy on your patio. Make sure you stay for Sunday brunch-very nice. No down side to report except for the cold days--not their fault. We will be back to Red Cliffs Lodge.

It is a way out of Moab (about a 20 minute scenic drive), but it is located on a breathtaking area of the Colorado River, and the names says it all...RED CLIFFS!! Relaxing in the hottub after a hard day of hiking is the best! Our room was $99 per night...clean new and HUGE!! It had a mini kitchen with a kitchen table and patio. Everything was spacious and clean and very upscale (Southwest /Ranch decor). the hotel is only 7 years old and well kept. Highly recommended!!!

Yes, the scenery is beautiful. But keep in mind you will be driving 20 minutes up and down a winding road every time you want a meal (other than the over priced restaurant), go the store, or see the parks. My impression is that the owners think that because they are in such a beautiful location, they can charge a lot without offering a complimentary Continental breakfast, much storage, or any real perks. There is a large common grassy area that would be great for kids except it was completely overrun with dog poop that's a minefield to walk through. When we checked in, I asked if we could have a quiet room. The receptionist said we would be "surprised" how quiet it is. Surprised is right - the banging around when neighbors settle in at night is deafening. I would recommend it with "reservations".

This lodge is wonderful. The location is just romantic. The room is well thought out. Reception staff and restaurant staff are all just the most helpful people. What a gem. The cost is a little higher than most lodging in Moab, but it is well worth it. It is a little outside of Moab, but it offers the peace and quietness and beauty that can't be match.

It is so lovely and rooms so perfect for a week-long stay which I have done 3 times; not think food so good, in fact, not good at all any of the times I was there, but it has a mini kitchen and I used that a lot. It is also quite a trip to and from the hotel to various attractions, but it is off the beaten track which i do like very much. None of the amenities listed below are available in November except the restaurant, but the price is lower and so it is fine with me.

We arrived at the Red Cliffs Lodge almost after dark, 7:15 or so, got checked in quickly, and the classy woman who was at the desk recommended that we call the restaurant and make a reservation if we wanted to dine there. It was the slow season, and although the restaurant is usually open 'til 9 PM, the previous night it had closed at 7:30, due to slow business. If we called, though, she assured us it would stay open to whatever time we chose. After a long day of travel, I called and asked for a reservation in 1/2 hour. No problem. Food was excellent! Great choice of salads, steaks, seafood, wines, beers, drinks, and desserts. We ate there every night, even though Moab has quite a few restaurants. Waitpersons were over-the-top friendly. There is a winery on-site, and a full bar. We got the River King mini-suite, and I completely recommend them. $25/night for a pet. The room has southwestern style with wood pole furniture including an armoir with robes, spacious bathroom, slightly lower level with a couch and the kitchen with flatwear, dishes, microwave, coffee. sliding glass doors led out to a private patio, beyond which was a lawn and rustic fence, then the Colorado River and red cliffs. We didn't have a chance to try out the pool and hottub, but a lady coming back from the hottub said it was heaven. The poolside changing rooms were marvelous, and the fitness center was spacious and clean and new. Both wifi and DSL available. We got kind of a slow wifi connection (there are 3 to choose from) so we used the DSL most of the time. Best part was driving back after a day of adventure, looking forward to the tranquility and space.
