“What a Gorgeous and Beautiful Place”

What can I say about this place except that we were very pleased. My wife and son (19) were planning to stay here for only two nights but we enjoyed and liked it so much we decided to stay another night. Luckily they were able to accommodate us but we had to move to another room (king to a double queen each had a pull bed for our son). All we did was pack and the staff moved it while we visited Canyon Lands National Park. We had planned to eat in Moab but we heard the restaurant here was good so we tried it. The buffalo steak (my son ordered that) and the bull fries we ordered were excellent and cooked correctly (as I think I cook steaks pretty good!). Breakfast is exemplary even if its a buffet (thank goodness as my son eats like a horse but very healthily). We can't wait to visit again...maybe in the fall/winter! It is a little bit to get to Moab (about 14 miles) but we didn't mind. Just be carefully on that winding Rt 128 because you are tempted to look at the scenery!

Room Tip: Definitely get a room facing the river!

We stayed one night at the end of July, and wish we had booked for longer. Staff is very friendly and nice, views are amazing. We stayed in a two bedroom cabin right on the Colorado River which was very spacious and well maintained. The deck overlooked the river with a nice view of the cliffs. I spent over an hour just walking around and taking pictures of the scenery, wildlife, and horses that were grazing on the large enclosed area behind our room. An added bonus was a little museum related to movies that have used the nearby areas for location shoots. Restaurant was good, and reasonably priced for what it offered.

The Lodge is a 30 minute drive down a winding road, which in itself was fun, from Moab proper and the entrance to Arches National Park. Well worth the drive, and we can't wait to return.

Room Tip: Call the hotel directly to check for specials, we used the bookings.com link from the website, and c...

We stayed in a river facing cabin. This place is in a truly amazing location but be aware it is off the beaten path and you will have a better experience if you are prepared for this.

All in all it was a great stay but we did have a couple issues. First, there was a bit of a sewage backup seemingly coming from the kitchen area and woke up from a nap with the room stinking to high heaven. We probably waited too late to call and there were no maintenance people available around 10pm. One of the desk people did their very best to help and running water and drain cleaner we found improved the issue.

The restaurant was ok, nothing too special, we had a great dining experience our first nite, but the second nite things really fell apart in terms of service and then after a considerable wait after being told "a few more minutes" several times, my "medium" steak came out almost raw. I believe some of the breakdown was that they were sitting large groups w/o reservations just moments before we arrived on time for our reservation. It was getting late and we walked out which means you better have your own food given the location and no other options. The wifi left a little to be desired but its free and again your in the middle of nowhere so you probably have to temper expectations on this sort of thing.

Despite those pitfalls, we really came for the location and Red Cliffs more than delivered. Scenic views in every direction, it overwhelms the senses in a positive way. I'm not a big fan of the rustic theme but it makes sense for what this place is and the rooms and bed were very comfortable, huge for a couple.

Unfortunately it began to rain so we didn't get to use it much but the pool area is really nice and it was great to have the option to do some laundry.

Moab and surrounding areas are a magical place and while Red Cliffs was a little short of "magical", it was still pretty awesome!

This property and it's setting along the river is beyond beautiful. We spent 4 nights in a King Cabin directly overlooking the Colorado River. It really was just perfect. A one bedroom cabin with a kitchenette, full Jacuzzi tub, pullout sofa, and private balcony overlooking the river (even just sitting on the sofa inside the unit, you were able to see the river flowing). You can park your car right outside your unit making it super convenient to load/unload. The horse pasture is adjacent to the cabins and the horses came up one afternoon to greet us as we were returning from our excursions (we fed them a few carrots which they loved, shhhh don't tell). The A/C worked very well. All in all, perfect accommodations. We ate dinner in the restaurant one night, it was very good. We spent some time looking through the Lodge's museum, which was fun and interesting. Our daughter swam and enjoyed herself in the large pool. The only thing that might be a negative, it is a 15 mile drive to Moab/Arches NP. Nonetheless we made the drive to/from all 5 days we stayed here and the drive never gets old, it is SO BEAUTIFUL driving through this canyon.... not an exaggeration.

We spent 3 nights here in a wonderful cabin with lounge, bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom had a corner bath/ jacuzzi - reception referred to it as the "honeymoon cabin". The patio looked straight out on the Colorado River. Food in the restaurant was first class, with beautiful views. Lovely swimming pool to relax in after visits to Arches and Canyonlands on 2 successive days.

We stayed here for 3 nights in late July 2013. We had a Queen Creekside Suite which comfortably fit our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids). The room was great with 2 Queen beds, a good sized bathroom, a small kitchen area, and an outdoor patio overlooking the creek. The unit had AC which worked very well, and the room was peaceful/quiet (they are all single-level units so nobody is above you). The kids enjoyed the pool and we had several meals in the restaurant which were great (and very convenient). The location of this lodge is great with the red cliffs towering on either side. The staff were all very helpful - the kids enjoyed the free cookies at check-in. This lodging is about 30 minutes north of Arches but the drive wasn't bad - even on the 3rd day. Of all the lodging on our 17 day trip through the Southwest, this was our favorite. I would definitely stay here again.

This is a great place to stay. It is right on the Colorado River and our room -- a small "cabin" with two bedrooms, a sitting area and small kitchenette -- looked out on it. The only drawback is that it is 1/2 hour from the entrance to Arches National Park. BUT, the setting is so lovely and the staff so nice and the rooms so pleasant, I would choose to stay here over and over again. The hotel offers plenty of activities so, you should never be bored. The restaurant is very good -- although not spectacular. (The views from the restaurant are amazing!) My entire family just loved this hotel and its setting.
