“Spectacular location. Nice Cabin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

We used Red Cliffs as a base to see the National Parks around Moab. It is a little way out of Moab (25-30 min drive) but the drive in to town through the Moab Canyon is spectacular and this was a highlight for us (doing it 2-3 times a day). Our cabin was clean and spacious. Beautiful setting looking out over the Colorado River and the canyon walls. The staff were friendly and really helpful. We were in the US for six weeks (from Australia) and we enjoyed Red Cliffs the most of all the places we stayed at.

Room Tip: All the Cabins overlooking the river are excellent. Worth paying more for.

After a week travelling in different parks, I stopped at red cliffs lodge
It is a perfect place to relax , enjoy the view , taste a good wine , ride horses
Staff was pro and very nice, I had a table outside with view on the colorado river without reservation, the restaurant was fully booked
They also have the patio , ranch style casual buffet for lunch , kids loves it
I didn t like the brown old style mountain bedroom deco but this is personal, rooms are large with high ceilings and have a small kitchen , bathrooms are very simple and could be update
Of course it is not for free but Thanks for this beautiful stay

Registration staff were very friendly and efficient. They apologized for the poor air conditioning in the large registration area and adjacent restaurant.
The king cabin had a comfortable king size bed and Jacuzzi. Refrigeration air conditioners in both rooms kept the temperature at 70F while outside was 100F. Both rooms and fixtures were clean. Tap water is salty so special taps in the bathroom and kitchen have reverse osmosis water. The view from the back porch was 100 feet from the river. Rafters were seen several times a day. A fawn walked by the back porch early in the morning.
The restaurant's large windows give a spectacular view of the Colorado river and the high cliffs above. The restaurant was warm, about 85F with several flies to shoo away. The food was ok, with generous portions.
We plan to rent two adjacent cabins with our son's family in the fall or spring, when temperatures are a little cooler.
My wife liked the view of the cliffs from the swimming pool.

Room Tip: We rented a cabin to have more privacy. Pricey but worth it.

Our family of four enjoyed our late May trip to Red Cliffs Lodge! We plan to visit all the national parks and this time made it to Canyonlands and Arches National Parks....both so beautiful! After our amazing days of hiking, we went back to Red Cliffs to relax. My little boy found that he loves horses. After the horses spent a day riding people, they were put into the pasture and he was able to feed them apples and talk with them at the fence line. The pool was perfect! Our room was comfy and clean...very clean! It was great all around!

Room Tip: The rooms along the creek side were just as nice as being next to the river...in fact, we like it be...

We visited the Moab area during three roasting days in July, nervous that we had made a huge mistake in terms of time of year. It turned out to be a magical experience. The lodge was perfect. Our family of six took two cabins, each with two bedrooms. The cabins were right across from each other, looking out onto the Colorado River. The cabins were immaculate and COOL, very comfortable bedding, with spacious kitchenettes. Each had a lovely deck right on the river. The staff was friendly. The food was not gourmet, but hearty and the buffet breakfasts were hits with our kids — something for everyone. My daughter and I went horseback riding — a group trail ride into the canyons. perfect for beginners, and competent, upbeat leaders. Nice pool (but too hot for us during the afternoons). For what we got — spacious accommodations, beautiful setting — I felt the price was extremely reasonable. The lodge is a good 25 minutes from Moab, but we went in each night for dinner and didn't feel the ride was too long. This is an ideal resort for a family looking for a base of operations to explore this truly spectacular area of our country.

We did not stay at this hotel, but had dinner here on the patio facing the beautiful Colorado river. The vews are spectacular and well worth having dinner here just for this. The dinner itself was good -we chose prime rib, red creek trout and steak. The steak was rather tough, but the rest was delicious. The Western film museum within the lodge is well worth a visit.

We loved this hotel. The view was amazing, the location was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved that the room had a kitchenette (which included a small refrigerator, a tiny freezer, a coffee pot, a microwave and a few dishes and utensils). It was nice to have the kitchenette, as the hotel is about 20-30 mins from Moab (which we knew when we booked it) and we didn't have to worry about finding meals. The grounds are lovely and expansive and the pool and hot tub were very nice as well. Our room was impeccable and the bed (we had a king) was very comfortable. We loved our patio that overlooked the Colorado River; it made us feel that we were almost still in Arches National Park (which was one of the main reasons we came to Moab). We can't wait to return!!
