Absolutely wonderful! The setting is gorgeous and so peaceful. We stayed in a cabin overlooking the Colorado River, and although there are a number of cabins side-by-side it was very quiet and the deck overlooking the river was spacious and very private. All the cabins were full, but you would think you were the only ones there! Had dinner on the terrace of The Cowboy Grill and it was spectacular, overlooking the river and the towering red cliffs. Food was delicious and service was excellent. All the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay; they seem to take great pride in the lodge. Only things that could use improvement are the mattresses on the sofa bed (need to replace) and bigger bars of soap in the bathroom! This was a sisters' weekend, the first for us, and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The two-bedroom cabin was perfect for the three of us; beds in the bedrooms were very comfortable, had the best sleep in a long time. Can hardly wait to plan a return trip!

Everything here is well done. I was a little shocked to be a good 14 miles out of town, but wouldn't change a thing! It is so well done. After 8 days in Park Services lodges as we trekked form Sedona to Moab eating "lodge food" the restaurant with amazing baked goods was a welcomed change of pace. Details all add up to a stay well worth the price and effort. Loved it! Very accommodating staff.

My second visit to Red Cliffs Lodge, May 22-29, 2013. This time we ended up staying in one of the two bedroom (2 queen bed and a pullout sofa) cabins on the river, way at the back of the property. This would have been a perfect room for a family. There was only one bathroom in between the two rooms (pass-through) a large deck, 3 tv's. There is gate access to the river just outside your front door- and the geese and ducks hang out on that side. It was very windy on that side of the property however. In 2006, our first-time, we stayed on the river suite side, which are the rooms to the right as you drive in. Nice split level rooms for two. Note that the rooms on the lawn have less privacy than those further down - all rooms have a view of the river except for the . Another couple in our party who also had folks cancel on them, stayed in the "condo" end unit. It has two bedrooms with separate bath rooms. Large (King bed) room with very large bathroom and walk-down shower; double size deck - but it needed a TV in the front room! Room service missed providing towels once, but a call fixed that. All in all, it was a good stay. As always, the staff is very hospitable. $10 Breakfast buffet was decent: (good quality) bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, juices, fruit, etc., Brunch $15 was all the daily stuff and more including salmon and cooked to order omelets. I suggest eating outside on the deck while enjoying the view. We didn't eat dinner here this time. I didn't go horseback riding this time, but I petted them when they were out at the back fence in the evening. My first time to the winery this trip too. As another reviewer noted, quality of sheets and towels should be improved. First time there, it didn't seem a problem - got a few rather old looking towels this time.

Room Tip: Cabins are situated on the windy side of the property. Depending upon location of cabin, it can be...

Everything about Red Cliffs Lodge is tremendous. The scenery is absolutely beautiful being highlighted by the location of the cabins and suites sitting right next to the Colorado river and the towering red rock canyon walls. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone happy young and old including swimming in a huge pool, horseshoes, tennis, tether ball, horseback riding, river rafting, biking, and hiking. If you are a fan of John Wayne this is a great place to visit as several of his films were filmed right here. Last but definitely not least the staff is just fantastic. They are a very friendly and helpful bunch of ladies. Jan was especially helpful to us our last visit. We have stayed at Red Cliffs 3 of the last 5 years and are definitely going back

We are finishing up a long weekend stay at the Red Cliffs Lodge in Moab. This place is wonderful! We stayed in a river cabin and could not be more satisfied with our location. Our back deck is right on the Colorado River with a beautiful view of red rock country. The drive on route 128 was beautiful and well worth the 14 mile trip. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and both were terrific. I highly recommend the chardonnay wine that is made on the premises. This was truly a jewel that we found on the Internet and we will definitely come back here. The place is immaculate and the staff members have been so pleasant. I cannot wait to come back here!

Driving to Red Cliffs Lodge was one of the highlights of our "Red Rock Tour" this spring. We completed most of the "Magic Circle" including the Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion, and Arches. The scenic riverside highway is not even noted on the Rand McNally map as such, however, it far surpassed the scenery on many of the highlighted scenic routes. The casual atmosphere of the lodge itself, is contrasted with the presence of an above average winery ( surprising in Utah) and the gourmet dining room. This is absolute heaven for us! The cottages on the river have amazing views and we enjoyed watching and petting the happiest horses we have ever seen running and frolicking through the grassy fields at the foot of the beautiful red cliffs. The rooms were large and comfortable with complete kitchen amenities and a homey feel. No matter that this place is rather isolated and far from town. That is the point of any getaway. We are anxious to share this place with our family as soon as we can drag them away from their 9-5 full work week routine. We will be back!

Room Tip: you really can't miss

Our family stayed here while at The Arches. It is 14 miles from Moab (and there was some road construction), but definitely worth it. The views are hard to describe. We splurged for the 2 bedroom cabin, which was great for our family of 5. We went on the whitewater rafting trip (1/2 day) that the Red Cliffs front desk organized for us. A bus picked us up and brought us back. We have 3 kids, and the youngest was 5, but it was well-suited for all of us. The last rapid was Cat. 3. Very doable for kids. The restaurant was good, and the pool was very nice. We didn't have a chance to go horseback riding. We did not pay the $10/per for the breakfast buffet. It seemed sort of Hampton Inn-ish, so $50 for our family for fruit and bagels seemed steep. All in all, an awesome place to stay!
