“Perfection!”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

Red ;Cliffs Lodge is perfection. Beautiful rooms, terrific service, friendly staff (who also know and like each other) and the most incredible views, especially riverside suites. Restaurant is very good and convenient, which is great because drive to town can take 30 minutes -- but be sure to make dinner reservations early in the day because it fills up fast.

Situated in a beautiful location. Be sure to take time to walk through the museum, which shows movies that were filmed in this area. Rooms are nicely laid out; ours had a nice patio which looked upon the red cliffs. The drawbacks - first, you must make reservations for dinner. Second, charging for breakfast that was cafeteria style. Third, distance from Moab, which then involves lots of back tracking if your destinations are Moab.

Nice place with a beautiful ranch and views of the cliffs and the Colorado River. The food in the restaurant is very mediocre, and they charge for breakfast in the morning, which many other hotels have gotten away from over the past 5 years. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable.
While we enjoyed our stay here, I would probably opt for a hotel in town next time, as every trip to Moab involves a 20 minute drive on a road that literally closes for construction every night from 11:30pm-5:30am.

We would highly recommend staying at the Red Cliffs Lodge. Our room was spacious and well designed, a very comfortable, relaxing, and private atmosphere. Katie was very helpful in booking our reservation and everyone was really friendly. We enjoyed wonderful food and wine at the restaurant as we looked out at the beautiful red cliffs. Sightseeing during the day and enjoying the stars at night. We loved it and look forward to when we can return.

We booked the Red Cliffs Lodge because they said to have dog 'friendly' rooms, which should really have said 'dog tolerated' rooms. Fido is NOT allowed on any grass areas or anywhere on the property except outside the gate. Dog can't sit on the patio while owner is having lunch/dinner either and of course not left alone in the room. All this for $20 a pet per night. Water tasted aweful ..... how about leaving bottled water in the rooms like any less expensive hotel! No wireless internet is available unless you're willing to pay $10 for an access cable, which will do nothing for an iPad. Yes, the room was spacious and comfortable but 18 miles from Moab - not worth it to us next time!

I have just returned from my 14th visit to Red Cliffs Lodge near Moab and it's high time to write a TA review. Once again their level of hospitality was WOW !! ........ off the scale. My frequent visits have been accomplished over a 3-year period, and let it be no secret that I am a Travel Escort for a west coast tour operator; I am a professional traveler. Red Cliffs has been under the direction of Colin Fryer from the get-go and a more un-assuming man you will never meet. He will appear frequently as just another member of the hard-working staff, with the emphasis on "hard-working." The simply beautiful setting for this facility 14 miles east of Moab on the bending Colorado is just bricks and mortar, however. Even the finest of equipment only has value and effectiveness in the hands of a professional staff - all of whom are the same smiling faces I continue to see visit after visit. And I'm happy to say that none of our visits are scheduled for less than 3 nites - don't I have a great career ?? All the bases are covered from start to finish; hospitality, courtesy, experience, customer service, guest comfort and amenities. Day-to-day Operations are literally in the capable hands of their professional GM, Sandy. When there might be a wrinkle in the routine from time to time, it is resolved immediately and to exceed expectations. When you think it can't get any better, step into the spacious dining room or onto the deck above the river to be served by Charlie and his staff. Exceptionally tasty meals and daily specials produced by talented servers who all have big smiles. The good news is that I'll return for 5 more visits this year and that our office has already secured our reservations. Make your reservation now to avoid disappointment. Hospitality doesn't get better than this !

Room Tip: There's not a bad room in the entire complex, ask for a 2-bedroom cabin !! There are at leas...
