If you would like an absolutely thrilling trip, you can do no better than to head for Arches National Park. Imagine our surprise when, after visiting Arches, we were equally blown away by the drive to Red Cliffs Lodge, one of the most spectacular drives we have ever taken. Then there was the shock of being able to stay right in this incredible landscape, which is where Red Cliffs is. After we saw the location, we, frankly, didn't care what the Lodge was like. Well, yes, another surprise. Beautiful, spacious, clean rooms, wonderful pool and friendly service. Don't miss the cookout at lunch, great burgers and sides. Don't even consider staying anywhere else!!

I hovered over 3 stars on this one. The hotel is beautiful. Stunning. The view was great from the room and the pool. The laundry room made for a great break to do much needed loads of laundry and the grounds were expansive and well maintatined. We ate in the restraunt for dinner and breakfast. The dinner menu had some cool choices like buffelo and elk. I had the elk, just to try it. I recommend you pass. It was like tough beef. The service was a little rough around the edges. It sounds bad but the girl seemed like she was not polished enough to work in a place that nice (and expensive).

Breakfast was a Sunday buffet- OMG, the BEST breakfast on our whole trip accross the US! Pancakes that would rival the best pancake houses, omlette station- loads of choices, all fresh and worth every single cent and we got to enjoy it on the porch with a view of the Colorado!

The room was clean and very nice. The one thing that just killed it for me, really, really killed it- was the bed. We traveled cross country over a month and stayed in a wide range of hotels from Super 8's to 5 star resorts and this bed was, by far the WORST bed I encountered on the whole trip. It was so sagged in the middle it was like sleeping in a hammock. I was rolled into my husband the whole night and slept so poorly, I left feeling exhausted and worn out. Very unfortunate. We stayed one night and payed over $500 between the room and dinner and to have such a poor quality, clearly damaged and low quality matress was kind of a shock. I didn't mention it to the front desk staff on my way out-I mean what could they do? It was done. I did notice many other people on TripAdvisor had complained about the beds though. I recommend checking your bed before unpacking.

The pool was great though and the kids loved the swings and horseshoes.

Was everything the other reviews said. We stayed in 2 bed cabin with kitchen which was ideal. Great view of river. Yes 25 mins from Moab, but hey what a drive...probably the best scenic drive you will do. We ate at restaurant on both nights and food was great and the view from outside restaurants has to be the best I have ever experienced. One thing we couldnt fathom out was the restaurant service which we felt was slightly unfriendly...not rude...just a bit sullen, on both nights with different waiters. This shouldn't detract from what was a great experience

We stayed in a mini king suite and it was very clean, and comfy. The service was great from start to finish. We had dinner in the Restaurant on the deck outside and Sunday brunch the next morning. I highly recommend both. They have a very nice movie museum dedicated to movies made locally. Also visited the winery on the property very nice and great and affordable wine.

We stayed at the Red Cliffs Lodge during a family vacation to the National Parks of the Southwestern US. The Lodge itself is in a beautiful location, directly on the Colorado River. The room was large and comfortable, with a kitchenette and porch.
However, we didn't realize the lodge was so far away from downtown Moab. It is a 30 to 40 minute drive into town, and then additional drive time to Arches and Canyonlands National parks from there. If you want to just relax in a beautiful setting and not leave, this is a wonderful place.
We also found odd issues with a $300/night lodge. We reserved a room for five people, yet never received five towels, despite requests. We were only allocated two pool towels. The laundry room is not air conditioned despite being in a building that is. Doing laundry in 90 degree evening temperatures was not pleasant! I expected more, given the price we were paying.

Room Tip: Reserve a room on the river

Great location, not in downtown Moab, much more picturesque. Located just a short distance from Castle Valley. Very nice, large room with everything you need, including a kitchenette. Not the most luxurious place I ever stayed, but nicely and comfortably furnished. The restaurant was very good, and sitting under the stars looking at some of the most dramatic natural scenery is pretty breathtaking. The Castle Creek winery is right on the property, so no problem getting good local wine, nice cheeses, crackers, chocolates, etc. I can't wait to go back and wouldn't stay anywhere else in the Moab area. It's just what you cpme to Red Rock country to experience. Check with the reservationist about any special lodging discounts.

Room Tip: You can't miss with any of the rooms or cabins. All are river-front with awesome views.

The BEST stay on our honeymoon. Spend the extra money and stay here. Views are amazing, the drive from Moab is amazing, the rooms are amazing. Service was great.

Restaurant on site was nothing special. I had ribs and they were not that great. Small portions and not cheap.
