Our cabin was right on the Colorado River. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. The web site did an excellent job of describing the Red Cliffs Lodge and the experience you could expect there. The videos on the website are very accurate.
Meals in the Cowboy Grill were predictable cowboy fare -- nothing special but nothing to complain about either.
The Lodge is a short drive from Arches National Park -- one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited.
I recommend this Lodge very highly.

The scenery is outstanding, I'll admit, but this is not a good place for a conference if you're expected to still work. The wifi was absolutely terrible, with staff admitting it was "sketchy" when I called after being dropped multiple times. I then learned about the DSL cable in the room, which was somewhat helpful, but it too was lacking as it couldn't hold a steady connection to hold a chat or connect to email. The cable is not near the desk either.
I think this would be a lovely get-away-from-it-all kind of place, but my experience here has been frustrating since I can't get my work done or even talk with my partner at home after a long day (zero cell service in the rooms).

There's not much more that can be said that so many others haven't. We had been for Thanksgiving dinner but went for a 2-day midweek getaway because we love the Moab area and especially all the great hiking and outdoor opportunities - not just in Moab but out in the Castle Valley and Colorado River Canyon off of Hwy 128 where Red Cliffs is.

They have (had) great half-price spring specials before the summer high season so we got a king mini-suite facing the Colorado and the magnificent cliffs. Very well thought out and unique layout - bathroom on right as you enter, then the bed area with a flat screen and a mini kitchen two steps below facing the sliding glass door and patio to the river view.

Only complaint was that you do and will hear noise from your neighbors. While there is only one floor with nobody above, there is something about the floor where the bed areas is that's wooden and you can near neighbors on either side walking around. Good advice is to bring earplugs. But, hey you're not hear to sleep are you, with all that natural beauty?

We ate dinner one night in the Cowboy Grill. It is expensive but wow the steak and prime rib are to die for, and well worth the splurge. Also got the $9.95 buffet breakfast - homemade buffet style - everything is good - and it is definitely worth the price vs driving the 20 miles into Moab to Denny's or a coffeehouse.

Despite the room noise, we'd absolutely come back, maybe try one of the freestanding riverside cabins. This is a much, much better choice than anywhere in Moab and you won't regret it.

Room Tip: Book a riverside cabin, no neighbors, shared wall

Red Cliff Lodge is an overpriced, poorly staffed, no where near town Hell hole.
Poorly staffed by the surly relatives of the owners.
We were sent to three rooms one after another each of them filthy, and we had reservations in hand.
Perhaps the staff expected no one to actually show up at this dump!
This place sucks.
Stay in town at a well run chain hotel.
The Red Cliff Lodge nearly ruined our time in Moab because we were forced to find another hotel in town and that was a blessing.
Forget this place if you want to enjoy your vacation in Moab.

We appreciate the opportunity for our guests to comment about Red Cliffs Lodge on Trip Advisor.com We have checked our reservation records and we have not had a reservation under Mr. Lamb’s name this year or last year. Since we have opened our doors in 2002 our #1 goal is and has always been “customer service”. I think anyone reading this review can sense right away that it is not in line with all the other reviews previously listed by our guests. These comments have allowed us to keep our good standing with the travel industry and we have been continually rated as the #1 rated place to stay in Moab, Utah.

Neither I myself, nor my wonderful staff recall any of our guests expressing such displeasure while staying at the lodge. I would encourage this guest to contact me personally so that we can respond appropriately to their concerns.

Thank you for your time. Sandy Bastian GM 435-259-2002

The view from our room was incredible - tall red cliffs. The hotel room was spotlessly clean and it was very roomy and quiet. Our water from our shower was only luke warm and the staff had it repaired while we were out that same day. The breakfast is $10/person and is excellent - lots of variety and something for everyone. We enjoyed the movie museum. We also went to the free wine tasting one evening. We ate dinner at the restaurant once and the food was wonderful. We were about half an our from Arches NP and about the same amount of time to get to Moab. But the scenery getting there was excellent. The Colorado river on one side and red cliffs on the other!

We spent 30 days in the US, mostly California, Utah and Arizona and this was definitely the best place we stayed in. We were only there for two nights but would have stayed for two weeks if the tour had allowed for it. The scenery, food, accommodation and service were brilliant. Would love to go back for longer next time.

We attended a conference here and were assigned a 2 bedroom queen cabin for 2 people. It was spacious, clean, and close enough to the river to wave to the rafting parties. The food was adequate, but the view from the restaurant is hard to beat. The staff was went out of their way to provide ample bag breakfasts for the group to take to see the sunrise at Arches. The movie museum is fun, the winery and vineyard are assets, and the pool is nice. One improvement would be to have hiking trails accessible from the lodge; we were advised that the only possibilities are the horse paths and they don't particularly want you on the trail at the same time as the horses. We would like to stay again sometime but the prices look pretty high if you book independently.
