Easy to get to and we'll worth the drive. The view is amazing. The history of the place is interesting and some of the old fence can be seen on the way to the lookout.

This is a very pretty overlook of the Colorado river. The river is not directly underneath so you have to look "away" to see it. Beautiful view but Horseshoe Bend is prettier and more dramatic. Nice view and worth the visit.

Cost $20 to get into but worth the trip completely. JdWithin several miles of Canyonlands National Park but they’re different enough from each other. The East Rim was a beautiful hike. The Potash water basin was really cool to see and learn about at the bottom of the Canyon. Seeing sections of the original corral fencing was awesome where the old time cowboys used to corral the mustangs to was really neat knowing that fence was over a hundred years old. Food and drinks at the concession stand available.

Dead Horse was an amazing surprise. We only visited the viewing area next to the visitors center and it was AMAZING! Best time to see the view of the canyon is an hour before sunset. Wish we had more time to explore the park.
Would like to rent a Yurt to stay in next time.

So we went out to watch the sunset. $20 for admission for an hour, though the pass is good for two days. Not all that much to do out there, except go to the overlook. More like a $10 value. Also, very disappointed the natural landscape is overwhelmed by potash ponds (commercial) and backcountry access roads mar the scenery. Not at all what I expected.
