So the 1st time I stayed here, it was before busy season wen Moab is a lot more quiet. While the rooms are nice, the street was really noisy and you could hear people next door perfectly. For the amount of traffic they get in Moab (the hotel was sold out), you'd think they could update the beds and sheets. The location is great. Close to national parks and endless recreation.

We value your concerns and will make every effort to make your stay comfortable. We are in the process of getting new comforters. The rooms are rustic lodge style and have just been updated in 2010. We recently spent two nights at the Big Horn Lodge and found it clean and comfortable, which is what we were looking for at a reasonable price. Coupons were included for discounts at the adjoining restaurant which had good food. The location was central for touring Arches and Canyonlands National Parks on our own, and good for pick-up for a jeep tour we took while we were in Moab. If we return to Moab, we would happily choose Big Horn Lodge again.

Thanks for the kind review. We are so happy to hear you will choose to stay with us again. Good to hear the food was good next door, they do a good job. The jeep rental is one of the most popular activities to do while visiting Moab so glad you got the opportunity to give this a try. Hope to see you again in Moab soon!

I booked this hotel mostly on the reviews from this site. Well, you don’t come to Moab to stay IN a motel, so in my mind they delivered what I was expecting. The Big Horn Lodge had large clean and comfortable rooms. The décor had the feel of a cabin, so it felt quite comfortable. For the real outdoors enthusiast, they provide cloths in the room for you to take out & clean your bike, car, or whatever.

If I’m ever in Moab, I would stay here again.

We came to Moab without a reservation for a hotel and found our way to the Big Horn Lodge after passing on a few of the chain hotels. What we found was a clean, well kept, comfortable place that was worth the price.

If you like your motel room DARK, this is the place for you. When you walk into the room, even with the blinds open you cannot see to the end of the room. The motel staff was very pleasant and responsive. The room is adequate except for being so dark and it needs to be lightened up a lot. Love the tile floors for the dogs. Clean room, no complaints except for how dark it is.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a bus tour--so no choice in the matter. I would not recommend this hotel as there are many nicer hotels in the area. We had a leaky sink which left water over the tiled area, making it slippery and a danger to navigate. There was no response from the staff when this was reported.. The air conditioning is in the bath area--not in the main sleeping room. This kept it from hitting us directly, but also doesn't cool the whole room for sleeping. The cold air hits one in the head when they came out of the bathroom to use the sink--not so good for a wet head. It looks dated and is. There are better accommodations nearby.

Thank you very much for your review. We apologize for any inconvenience the sink leak may have caused you and we are sorry that someone had not fixed the problem until after you had checked out. The air conditioning is located at the back of the room due to the style of the building. We appreciate your concerns and wished you had a better stay while in Moab. We we will strive to make things better for the next stay.

Stayed for 3 nights having pre-booked a Jeep& Sleep package. Arrived a day early & they managed to accommodate us for the extra night no problem - even gave us the same discounted rate for the extra night. Terrific value for money as the cost for the hotel plus the jeep rental for one day worked out cheaper than doing it separately. Room comfortable, clean and windows onto street not a problem as the glass is opaque. Air con is v good if a little noisy. They even provide cloths in the room for you to take out & clean your car/bike or whatever! Jeep hire from Canyonlands Jeep company was absolutely awesome- had the best day ever & the guys there were great (especially Tyler) given that our jeep had not been returned in time so they had to organise another for us which they did v efficiently. Whole stay was excellent & my husband wants to spend the whole holiday there next time!
PS don't use the Moab Subway who gave us stale bread for our jeep day and didn't reply to any of my emails afterwards! Eddie McStiffs has excellent meals & service.
Loved Moab - thanks to everyone for our experience!
