“Great little campground, convenient to everything in moab”

We stayed at Up The Creek for 5 nights. It's a great little place convenient walking distance to groceries, shops, etc in moab. Tonya was very helpful when we decided to change our plans due to the govt shutdown of the natl parks. Campground was peaceful ( except during fri night football game at the nearby high school), bathrooms were clean & showers hot. Tent spaces were far apart enough that we didn't feel like we were on top of other campers. They provide large wheelbarrows to help get your stuff from parking lot to tent site. They also have some tabletop grills available for campers' use, though we didn't use them. Great stay in a fun, outdoorsy town!

lots of great walkin site. They have carts to carry your stuff in. Nice bathrooms. Ice 2 bucks a bag. Walking distance to town for dinner and drinks. Nice people. Loved the look of the place, the flowers, the art and the trees for shade. IT poured while we stayed there for two nights but I would do it all again. Over priced for tent camping but way cheaper than anywhere else in town.

Due to the rain of the century in Denver our trip was delayed and we therefore decided not to go to the Grand Canyon. Our first night in Moab they were having torrential rains and we stayed in the roadway inn. Talk about overpriced. The next day we checked out and started looking for camping options. On our way to Milts restaurant we saw this exceptionally cute campground. We decided to stay. This place is soooo cute. It is right off a stream and has very clean facilities. We were pleasantly surprised at how close it was to everything. I slept better in this campground then I did in the last few hotels. How quaint! Love it.... Didn't want to leave.

This campground was great! Yes, it is in Moab but on a side street and quiet compared to being right on the highway and sharing "camping" with RVs and their generators. Level sites(!), easy to place tent pegs. Good showers and a great, covered utility sink for dishes, with detergent and a drying rack. Yes, it is "walk-in" but fairly short distance and they provided a small fleet (5) of carts for <20 sites. There is a bike/run trail 1/2 block away and a bark park also 1/2 block away. (True, it is a little pricey but worth it! $30 per day for 2.)

The only possible disappointment with Up the Creek, was the lack of open fires, presumably in compliance with Moab bylaws and beyond the control of the owners. With that said, the facilities were very well managed, professionally maintained and drew a crowd much more interested in getting up early for pre-heat-of-the-day biking and hiking, than late night partying. The location is in the heart of Moab, but offers a quiet creek-side spot, dappled in shade.

Further, I was very impressed when a broken hand made us abandon our site early, a refund was dealt with promptly and professionally, even though I was just under the policy prescribed cancellation period — obviously very honest and principled operators.

Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

When i got to the campgrounds i was shocked that it was right on town. Ot is by a nice creek but kids were playing soccer at the school accross the creek and cars were driving down the main drag just beyond the school. Campsites are packed right next to eachother. AND it cost 40 dollars for a night. Guess moab is short on real campgrounds and people want to bike enough to put up with this lind of camping experience.

We, too, we're having trouble finding a spot to camp on Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend. Up The Creek was accommodating, quiet, clean restrooms and showers, and overall a great experience. Unlike Lauren, we found the management incredibly nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an "away from the crowds and rv's" camping experience in Moab.
