“3 Dogs, a Moose and an Absentee Landlord”

I liked this place. We had Kenzie's Cottage for two nights. Very well done, tiny but it has an outdoor sitting area. Very well appointed with flatscreen, Keurig, fridge, microwave. The rainhead shower is magnificent and quite a hit from reading the guest book. Still, you cant really run a B&B from off site. When we arrived, the cottage was locked and there was no sign of any "office." Fortunately, a young woman who had checked in to another cottage told us the key was in a lockbox and we should have gotten an email with the combination. Well, we didnt. We called and one of the owners said that their emails often get blocked by spam filters. Well, that's a problem that needs fixing. We did not get any room service between day 1 and 2. Was that their policy? It wasn't spelled out in the detailed in room guide. The guide helped us when the Microwave kept dying. All this aside, the place is a nice find. Two blocks west of Moab's Main Street. Assigned parking.

Room Tip: Kenzie's Cottage: small but secluded in the back of the property so other guests don't have...

We are sincerely sorry one of our guests' had such a frustrating experience checking-in. 3 Dogs & a Moose Cottages are nightly rental cottages. We are not a B & B. After receiving this review, we have taken a closer look at our literature and correspondence to ensure we are as clear and concise as possible in our communications. We have adopted additional measures to ensure our guests are actually receiving the emailed check-in instructions that are sent 30 days before arrival. We hope to have eliminated any confusion on what we offer and how our guests are to check-in. We appreciate receiving feedback that allows us to improve our guests lodging experience.

We were traveling through Utah on our Honeymoon and we really wanted to stay somewhere unique and not a hotel. We found 3 Dogs and a Moose and we were thrilled to learn that they had a vacancy on such late notice and they were dog-friendly! Denice was wonderful to work with. We stayed in French Quarter on a Friday and it was AMAZING! So charming, so cozy and wonderful. We made dinner and ate on the patio which was beautiful and romantic. We loved the king size bed and shower. French Quarter was way more space than we needed for the just the two of us but it was fun to have all that space. We had originally only made a one-night reservation but once we saw the place we knew we wanted to stay longer. French Quarter was already booked for Saturday but Denice said that Kenzie's Cottage was available and that she would move all of our stuff (including our dog) over while we were hiking in Arches National Park. She not only moved our beloved pooch over to the new digs but she also let her out and played with her for a bit. That type of service is unheard of and it makes a dog owner feel so much more comfortable about traveling with pets. We appreciated this gesture beyond belief. When we returned from hiking we found Kenzie's cottage to be perfect! It is a small space but that is all we needed for one night. Denice also left us a congratulatory bottle of champagne!!!!

We loved 3 Dogs and a Moose and we are already planning our return! Big thanks to Denice for being so wonderful!

This little cottage grouping in downtown Moab is an oasis of quiet and coziness in town. We spent 2 nights in Bogie's Bungalow. It is adorable and comfortable. With only 2 of us we used the upstairs for our suitcases as the downstairs is cozily tight. The bungalow has A/C, lots of windows for fresh air, microwave, and a huge communal gas grill in the courtyard. We used the grill both nights and enjoyed dining outside away from restaurants while chatting with other guests. We did not know that there is a second bathroom outside which has the only bathroom sink with hot water. This is the only reason we can't give 5 stars. The courtyard gardens include a nice variety of herbs. Calm and quiet, charm galore and nicely planned for guests.

Room Tip: Bogie's is small for more than 2 people. The queen bed is against a wall so there is no room to...

My husband and I stayed in Kenzie's Cottage for just one night and it was better than I ever imagined! It's just perfect for some R&R after hiking up to Delicate Arch. The shower is the best we have ever had in any place we have EVER stayed!! We will definitely be back!!

This year we stayed at the Moosewood- it did not disappoint! Last year we were at the French Quarter. It was great, but we wanted a little more room. Moosewood is really roomy, nicely decorated with a wonderful patio area. Stayed 4 nights, saw deer almost every evening. So close to everything, has to be the best place in Moab! Hammock is great.

My husband and I were considering a stay at Sorrell River Ranch, but after reviewing the distance to Moab and the cost per night for one room, we decided to look elsewhere. Fortunately, we found 3 Dogs & a Moose. Although it was only the two of us, we decided to rent Moosewood because all the other cottages were booked. The cost was way less than the Ranch and much roomier. We wished we would have invited our grown children to come with us because there was plenty of room in the cottage. It was lovely and the grounds were beautiful. I am a gardener, so I was in heaven looking at all the plants. The porch swing and the hammock were also a relaxing touch. We were a bit afraid of the "swamp cooler" after reading some of the reviews, but the nights were so cool for us that we turned it off at night. It is a bit loud, so if I had any complaint, that would be it.The location is also fantastic because you can walk into town. Several restaurants are just around the corner, such as Jeffery's Steak House (delicious) or Desert Bistro (never had the chance to eat here). I highly recommend this property!

This is a beautiful hidden gem. The rooms are gorgeously decorated. The property is surrounded by a lush garden. Each bungalow has it's own private patio with seating. There's also a community grill and hot tub. I stayed in Bogie's Bungalow which was perfect for 3 people. It had two full baths. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, and everything else you need to cook your own meal. This place is a great find.
