“Scenic escape from the heat..”
Reviewed June 28, 2012

A beautiful winding mountain road. The views back over Castle Valley and Fisher Towers are spectacular. It's a bit scary as there are no guard rails and parts are very narrow. There are not alot of cars though. We went to one of the lakes-- starts with Oo-- not for swimming but lots of folks were fishing. Nice reprieve from the heat of the desert.

“A Great contrast to the red rocks around Moab”
Reviewed June 12, 2012

The red rocks are beautiful but it's great to get up into the higher elevations in the La Sal mountains! You can visit Ooowah lake, Warner Springs lake, and Miner's basin among other places! There's camping, fishing and it's a great place to go when it gets warm in Moab! There are tons of Aspens and Firs that make for great pictures as well!!!

“Pretty but long”
Reviewed June 8, 2012

Beautiful view back to Castle Rock Valley. The road is long and winding and once you get past the views of Castle Rock it is not too scenic
