“Nice stay @ the Hampton”
Reviewed July 7, 2012

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights at the Hampton Inn. One room was the standard with 2 queen beds and the other a queen suite. The suite was very spacious with 2 queen beds and a sofabed and kitchenette. For the slightly higher price, I'd definitely recommend the suite over the standard room. especially if you have 4 people. The Hampton is a great value in Moab where prices rise during the summer hi season, especially if you have more than 4 people in your party. Hampton Inn allows up to 5 people in a standard room with with the option to have a roll-away bed for extra $10 (altho it may be a bit cramped). Many other hotels we've stayed at limit 4 persons/room. Beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. The complimentary breakfasts were standard fare for Hampton Inns and featured eggs/oatmeal/waffles/yogurt/fresh fruit. There are also complimentary breakfast-on-the-go bags at the front desk in case you head out before breakfast is served. Great idea since it was 100 degrees by noon and preferable to hike in the morning. I would definitely stay here again next visit to Moab. BTW- if you're looking for fantastic burgers and milk shakes, go up the street to Milt's. Best meal we had in town.

Room Tip: Go for the suites---lots more room for a bit more $.

This Hampton Inn is above average for its class and my favorite in Moab. In May, hotels in Moab are quite expensive, but at the Hampton you at least get a good experience for your money. I like the location a couple of blocks north of town center, away from the worst of the traffic congestion, and convenient to Canyonlands and Arches. In common with many Hamptons, this one has good bedding, good a/c, helpful staff and a good, above average for a Hampton, breakfast. Minor complaint: the a/c fan will not run continously with the a/c on.

Room Tip: Select a suite if one is available

I stayed here 3 times in 2011, and enjoyed every trip. The staff are excellent, and the rooms are great (the hotel is pretty new). It's on the north end of town, but Moab is a pretty small place. It can be a bit of a walk to the Moab Brewery, but that's the only complaint I have. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're in Moab.

We had 4 rooms here for 1 night in June 2012. The front desk staff was superior at check in and gave us great help on restaurants and things to do. Rooms were great since he hotel was near new. No complaints at all. Would definitely return. Great area for outdoor activity.

This new-ish Hampton Inn on the north end of Moab makes a fantastic base for a night or several in the area if visiting Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. It offers the typical amenities of Hampton Inns: it's clean, the beds and showers are good, the breakfast area is large and the free breakfast is above average. There's a pool and guest laundry, either of which may come in handy during a summer roadtrip in the Utah desert. Only downside: no refrigerator in the room, but most Hampton Inns don't have them.

Being located at the north end of town, it's closer to the national parks than hotels on the south side. But Moab isn't a big town, so "going downtown" for dinner consisted of driving half a mile -- we'd have walked if we weren't so tired from hiking each day! There's a gas station directly across the street, and a nice, quirky little bakery/cafe place half a block north (right as you come out of the parking lot, on the right side), which made good sandwiches to order if you want to have a picnic lunch for the park.

I'd definitely stay here again the next time we return to Moab.

My wife, two children, and I stayed one night here on our way to Park City. We arrived early at about 1:00 and they had a room ready, so we checked in and then spent the afternoon hiking in Arches NP in 100 degree heat. We came back later and enjoyed the awesome pool followed by dinner at the Moab Diner. The room was great - not only flat screen tv, but actual HD, as most hotels do not have this feature. Breakfast was perfect before hitting the road. The best part, though, was that after discovering we left the children's swimsuits, the hotel mailed them to us in Park City and we had them two days later. It's great to know this type of service exists!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel, which is away from the road.
