“Chesler Park 4x4 tour”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

My grown son and I took the Chesler Park 4x4 tour and had a blast. I really chose it because the 4x4 would get us deep into Canyonlands where we'd be able to see things we wouldn't on our own. I hadn't thought through what the 4x4 part would be like but it far exceeded our expectations: it was exciting and a bit scary. I didn't know cars could go where we went or drive the way we drove. The guide, John, was fantastic and we had total confidence in him. He was knowledgeable and interesting. The 3 mile hike out to the base of the needles, through a slot canyon was really fun and incredibly gorgeous. Lunch was good, too. My husband and son hope to go back next summer and do some canyoneering and other adventures with Navtech. I couldn't recommend them more!

“What an experience!”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

This tour is one of the best! We had the experience of a life time and will never forget it. John our tour guide was fantastic. He took us to heights and places we never thought we would ever go. We paid a little extra to have John to our selves and it was well worth it. We did the Canyon Lands 1/2 day tour. John was so accommodating and we fell in love with him and the information he shared with us. Ask for John- One of the best!

“Fiery Furnace hike with John was wonderful”
Reviewed July 1, 2014 via mobile

Although this is a lot more expensive than the ranger led tour, it is a private tour with a small group, not a group of 20 strangers of varying abilities. Consider what your time is worth and decide accordingly.

John is a seasoned guide in Fiery Furnace, and set a good pace while taking us to see many highlights. We were glad to be well-led and enjoyed the hike.

While not extreme, the hike does require dexterity and a modest level of physical ability.

There are many guide companies to choose from in Moab. We had a good recommendation for Navtec from a local and we were not disappointed with this hike.

“Arches & Canyonlands Combo Tour”
Reviewed June 28, 2014

This tour is a definite MUST DO! Our guide was Sam who was fantastic. The modified 4x4 jeep takes you cross country where cars cannot go. Therefore you get to see loads more of these areas, climb very steep one car width tracks and drive through rough terrain in order to see the absolute best of these areas.

Sam is very accommodating, funny, a great, safe driver and will take you to see just about anything you request in these areas, providing it is safe to do so, if it is not included on his usual route of interests.

This tour is very informative giving a great detail of the history, geology, fauna and flora of these areas. Sam is very knowledgable and can answer any question you ask it seems. He takes you to areas where well known films have been filmed too.

The lunch is very nice with variety and is sufficient.

The tour is a very full day and with everything you cover it is well worth the cost. I would highly recommend choosing Navtec they are a well run business with excellent guides.

BOOK THEM NOW! You won't be disappointed.

“1/2 day rafting”
Reviewed June 22, 2014

We enjoyed this in June 2014. Pleasant 1/2 day on the water but don't expect big rapids. 2s and a 3 on the trip. Guide (Matt) was very pleasant and courteous. You go up the river about 30 minutes, go in and ride for about 2-1/2 hours, 30 minutes back to town. Lots of groups on this river, it is apparently one of the heaviest traveled rivers in the USA.
