The Gonzo Inn is close to the Main Street (about 100 feet away) which makes it quiet. Plenty of parking and rooms are large with patio. The wifi is pretty bad but moab has OK cell. The breakfast is continental and is pretty good - just wish they had more cereal and yogurt options for us that don't want to eat waffles or pastries/ bagels.

We stayed there 3 nights and we wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is another one of those awesome places that you happen upon. The room had a nice vibe that goes along with what you think Utah looks like. The shower was sooo big. it was fairly priced for king size. The staff were so accommodating when our pet was having a little separation anxiety. We originally had only booked for 2 nights ad when we asked if we could extend another night they were able to let us stay in the same room. The hotel is kept up nicely and the pool/Jacuzzi was kept clean. Just an overall good hotel, you wont be disappointed. Great restaurant down the street called Zak's, the best pizza!

THe only reason I did not put a 5 star rating on this inn is because of the price. It is not a cheap place to stay at any time. Although, not much is in Moab - even the most run-down places are premium prices between March and October. But this had a very nice, unique quality to it and the service was amazing. The is not a "motel" but really something more. It is a great romantic getaway or a good family spot too. it is right next to the town bike trail and across from the liquor store to boot! Loved it here. Would definitely come here again.

On a 22 day road trip, we left the chargers for our iPad and Windows phones at the Gonzo, discovering it when we were a day away. We called apple & had a new charger FedXed to where we were in Boulder, UT, but I called Gonzo anyway. Yes, they had them and yes, they would send them to our home address. We arrived home today and there was the package, along with a note that Aric had found them. Thank you! Thank you! We thought it was a great place to stay when we were there, but now we will sing their praises of honesty & kindness! Make your reservations early!

Room Tip: We liked second floor, corner, for the double access to the balcony.

Granted we were just driving over from one our favorite inn's in Zion so we were a bit spoiled but we were still looking forward to a great stay in the Gecko suite at the Gonzo inn. As we entered the suite it looked great with a cozy couch and fire place and a dining area plus a cool looking patio! The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. As we settled in for the next few days though we discovered that the kitchenette was stocked with cheap plastic utensils and paper plates rather than proper goods along with cheap plastic cups. The faucet in the kitchenette worked funny, the pilot in the fire place could not be turned off and made the room actually hot and the AC units in the living and bed rooms were too loud at night and kept going on/off so we had to turn them off and count on the early am cool breeze which we got in early june so it was not too bad. The bed was very comfortable. Or patio faced the afternoon sun so it was too hot to sit in the afternoon but having dinner there one night was very pleasant; a sail over the patio would have been great!
We enjoyed having free breakfast and the friendly help at the desk. All in all a good place to stay since they have a fridge and space to spread out after daily hikes plus it's close to the restaurants although unfortunately faces some industrial stores. We also used the pool every day although the ambience with the barred walls could use some vines to bringing a little green privacy.

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the main street

This motel is nice and quiet but still very convenient. THe rooms are large.
Some of the rooms on the 2nd floor have very high windows with shades t=which aren't room-darkening, so if you like to keep the light out at in the morning, ask for a room on the first floor or without those windows.
The beds are very comfortable.
The continental breakfast was enormous - yogurt, all kinds of bagels and muffins, hard-boiled eggs, apples, oranges. bananas. Great way to start the day.

Room Tip: If you like to sleep late ask for a room on the first floor or without the very high windows on the...

As others have noted, this clean, comfortable, and very friendly hotel is ideally located a block off of the main strip in Moab. Thus, it is fairly quiet, but still walking distance to restaurants, etc. Free bike storage was also a great.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a second floor balcony (assuming you don't mind steps, there is no elevator)
