“Good value for Motel in Moab”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2010

Pleasant staff, reasonable prices, clean room, adequate free breakfast, nice pool with a view...most northern motel in Moab (closest to airport, Arches NP and Dead Horse Point State Park).

We stayed 3 nights. The folks at the front desk offered some nice hike/bike ideas for us since we were new to the area. The play area( volley ball, play equipment) in back of the hotel was clean and protected. The pool was clean. The breakfast was OK with nice ladies keeping thing going smoothly. The hotel is on the eadge of town with an easy bike ride to anything on main street. I enjoyed my stay.

Desk help was rude, unprofessional in appearance, and exhibited an uncaring attitude. Lobby and building appeared unkept. Could not find an english speaking housekeeper when i needed unstained bedding. Breakfast help was wonderful and the reason we stayed another night. Hotel manager on two occasions was too busy to hear our concerns personally, it appeared she was taking personal phone calls which were more important than us. I was appalled to see a group of 3 to 5 employees several times daily chain smoking in the pool area and by front door of motel, ESPECIALLY PREGNANT PERSONEL!! They claim their "green", but recyle bins were thrown away like everything else (in the dumpster).2 days after returning my daughter had BED BUG bites diagnosed.

Our group of eight stayed for two nights at Aarchway, which is the closest hotel to Arches NP. We had one room with 3 beds and a double queen next to each other. There is plenty of space, bedrooms are comfortable & bathrooms are fine. There is a nice free hot breakfast buffet with French toast slices, eggs, bacon, sausage, homemade salsa, yogurt, & the usual continental food spread. there is a playground for kids. We would stay here again.

Our friends booked us two rooms for a short trip to Arches Nat. Park. The motel is on the right end of town and just a few miles from the park entrance. The motel was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. They weren't cheap with the amenities which were of a nice quality and a lot of them. The towels could have been thicker but that's my only negative. The bed was very comfortable and the room large with nice furnishings. The complimentary breakfast was nice, not over the top but there was something for everyone. They have a lovely patio area and a picnic area in the back that's shaded and has a wonderful view of the mountains. We saw some heron and geese fly over...okay we're bird lovers. I'd stay here if I ever got back to the area.

I appreciated having a friendly staff and an excellent in-hotel breakfast buffet with the room. Bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, coffee, cereal, and the rest from 6 to 10 AM. We picked a four day stay here after coming down to many of the different hotels in the area. We love the April springtime here with the deserts turning green. The honeymoon suite we found quite nicely setup with two rooms, and the area behind the hotel is a wide wildlife management area down to the Colorado river. We just sat for an hour watching the clouds go by over the canyon when we got here. Great ambience and a great get-away.
