We loved this B&B! We stayed 3 nights here (and 3 nights at another inn right in Moab - see other review). The scenery is spectacular. The grounds are spacious, well-maintained and beautiful. Very quiet and serene. We stayed in the Fremont Bungalow and loved it - very spacious, clean and quiet. The breakfasts were delicious. The innkeepers are friendly and helpful. Yes, it is a long drive to/from Moab, but the drive is beautiful. There are a couple of nice restaurants within a few miles, so there is no need to drive all the way into Moab for dinner. I would highly recommend this B&B. If you are a hiker, be sure to hike Fisher Towers, which is close by and should not be missed.

Room Tip: The Fremont Bungalow is a good choice - great views. I would not be inclined to stay in rooms in th...

I just returned a few days ago from a 3-day stay at the Castle Valley Inn, which I can give the highest possible rating. The rooms were nicely decorated and spotlessly clean, and Jason and Jeannette are delightful hosts, as were their employees. This was the kind of peaceful and totally relaxing experience that staying at a B&B should be.

The location, in a majestic side canyon just off the main Colorado River canyon, is also exquisite, in the little green oasis of Castle Valley, set between soaring red rock cliffs. The Castle Valley Inn is probably in the best, greenest location in this desert valley, a very quiet spot in a quiet little hamlet of about 300 people. The large grounds are basically a fruit orchard of mature apple, peach, and apricot trees and green grass, with the 3 Inn buildings nestled in the middle of the orchard.

We particularly enjoyed the excellent and lovingly served breakfasts each morning, sitting out on the wooden deck, shaded by tall apple trees, where it was cool and comfortable every morning, even though it was sunny mid-July weather and getting up to about 102 each day in nearby Moab.

Also, the hot tub was sparkling clean and well-maintained, and it didn't hurt that the price was about the same as the cheapest motels in Moab, most of which are right on the noisy highway.

The only drawback of the location was that Castle Valley is about 15 miles from town, but we simply ended our activities each day with dinner in Moab, so that the somewhat remote location was not a problem and the drive along the banks of the Colorado is a very scenic one in any case. I will definitely stay there again, next time I go to Moab.

Room Tip: I stayed two nights downstairs in the main building, sharing a 2-BR suite with my friends, and spent...

Jeannette and Jason are super friendly hosts. They helped and offered advice when needed but otherwise allowed us to just enjoy the peace, quiet, and gorgeous scenery. You can see the red rock formations surrounding the property on all sides! The Inn also serves up a yummy breakfast (always with something substantial plus fruit, freshly baked scones, and the usual coffee and juices). Jeannette was very helpful in recommending parks, activities, and local tour providers. Although Castle Valley is a bit outside of Moab, many of the activities that we wanted to try were near by (hiking trails, the La Sal mountains, horseback riding, and rafting). It was nice to stay somewhere quieter outside of the downtown strip in Moab.

Room Tip: The Fremont and Hovenweep suites are probably the nicest on the property. The Anasazi Cabin and Mon...

In my opinion Castle Valley Inn was the best spot in to stay in Moab. It's nestled in a lush valley surrounded by fruit trees and flowers. We awoke to see deer outside our cabin one morning and enjoyed the hummingbirds every morning. The owners Jeannette and Jason are delightful and very hard workers. Breakfast was served on the patio and was delicious every morning. Even though it is about 20 minutes from Moab, it's well worth it. Just get dinner before coming back to Castle Valley. We were in the Anasazi Cabin which offers a kitchenette so you can also pack your own meals. There is a BBQ with private deck attached to the cabin. Jeannette and Jason provide ice and coolers for your daily excursions. We also loved the homemade treats that were in the community room every day. We did have to keep the sliding screen door closed at night because the gnats could fly through. That was the one bummer. Willow made a new friend named Jonah and she hopes to return and see him one day.

Room Tip: The Anasazi cabin is perfect for a family of four. It's private and cozy with a nice kitchenet...

We were very impressed with this lovely b&b! It's about 15 miles from Moab & the drive along the Colorado River through the red cliffs is beautiful! Breakfasts were outstanding -- we especially loved the hash brown quiche. Check their website for recipes! Jeanette, Jason, & 9-month-old Judah are so delightful. Judah is a real charmer -- hugs & smiles galore! The Native American decor is perfect & authentic. The grounds are lovely. We had great dinners at the Red Cliffs Lodge, about 10 min. down the road, and bought a good Merlot at the Castle Creek Winery.

We have stayed in many B&Bs around the world and love the feeling of "home" when we stay in them. CVI is by far one of the best B&Bs!!! Jeanette and Jason are wonderful hosts and work very hard at making their guest feel welcome and relaxed. The grounds and home is extremely well cleaned and maintained. I highly recommend this B&B when visiting the MOAB area as you will be glad you did. THANK YOU Jeanette and Jason and Judah (9 month old son) too.....

Room Tip: The Wingate room was great for two and the bed and comforter were very nice.

Even though it was 20 minutes from Moab, the Castle Valley Inn was a fabulous place. We stayed in the Sommerville bungalow room, which was very spacious and comfortable. We especially enjoyed Amber and Abby, the resident cat and dog. There were only 2 restaurants closeby, which was the only drawback to the location.
