“Lived up to our expectations -- beautiful, peaceful, serene setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2011

We booked the Anasazi cabin and were quite pleased with the accomodations. We arrived at 8:00 p.m. and spent the rest of the evening on the wraparound deck enjoying the view of the grounds and the absolute solitude -- all we could hear were crickets! In the morning, we really could see the great views of the red rock cliffs, the beautiful expanses of green, green grass on the property, the blooming irises and daisies, and the multitude of colorful birds visiting the bird feeding stations. Although the inn is about 20 miles from downtown Moab, that is exactly what we liked about it! We thoroughly enjoyed the drive to and from Moab as it follows the Colorado River. We also enjoyed the an alternate drive through the Manti-La Sal National Forest where we saw over 60 deer one evening while making that loop from Moab into Castle Valley! I highly recommend this inn if you want a place to relax and unwind. We used it as our base to explore Moab, Arches, Canyonlands, and several Jeep trails that the area is noted for (he Onion Creek Trail just up the road from the Inn was a lot of fun). After a day of running around, it was a pleasure to come "home" to our spotless and comfortable cabin. We also enjoyed the delicious, hearty breakfasts that got us off to a good start each day. We especially appreciated being able to pick from three different breakfast shifts (7:30, 8:00, 8:30) so we could choose an early time if we wanted to head out fast or a later time if we wanted to linger in the morning. We had great fun visiting with the other guests at breakfast as they had come from other states and even other countries. The innkeepers were very pleasant as well. Though we did not use the hot tub on the grounds or the BBQ on our deck, we did see other guests enjoying these amenities. I would not hesitate to recommend the Inn and will surely stay there the next time we visit Moab.

Room Tip: Anasazi Cabin for its quietness and views

We found the place to be average, would strongly recommend not accepting a room in the main building. The room was crammed and the bed was marginal at best (we kept rolling to the center) the walls thin and could hear the people in the room next to us.

Breakfast was delicious but rushed due to small eating area and the owners scheduling breakfast in 30 minute shifts.

Compared to the other B&B's we stayed in on our trip this was the most expensive but the one we were least pleased with.

The setting is very peaceful and relaxing.

Room Tip: Don't accept a room in the main building

We found ourselves with an unexpected free week, so we drove into Utah from Colorado with no real destination or plan, just our mountain bikes and the need for relaxation. Driving through Vail Pass in very scary weather, I kept myself preoccupied by looking up accommodations on my blackberry (It was either that, or I drive my man CRAZY with backseat driving!) We found the Castle Valley Inn, and made it in the next day. I had gotten a head cold, so I was ready for a great bed, and some quiet! We got exactly that!
Clean, friendly, and a great place to re-connect with your partner! It has almost a mystical feel to it. Enjoyed the fact that there was no real T.V. to watch, we did partake in some DVD's , but really just enjoyed the beautiful environment!

Room Tip: Fremont Bungalow - Private and quiet!

We found this B & B both charming and comfortable. Nestled in the small community of Castle Valley, it is a great place for travelers like us who prefer to be a little bit outside the towns and surrounded by nature. And the drive from Moab along the river is stunning. We stayed in a lovely, well furnished and comfortable cabin, complete with kitchenette. It was spotless and everything functioned well. The breakfasts were not only good, the cooking was imaginative - a change from the standard fare of B&B's. To top it off, the hosts were quite congenial, fun to talk with and helpful in guiding our touring around the area. We highly recommend it.

Very attractive B&B; lovely setting. Breakfast delicious. Only downside is location, some 20 miles north of Moab so not near parks. But setting makes up for need to travel.

What a sweet and lovely place to stay in the middle of such splendor! Driving into the Inn we saw deer along side the road and a dog to greet us when we got there. Jason and Jeanette are wonderful and so personable. We felt at home right away. Nice accomodations but I wish we would have called sooner to get their larger private little guesthouse. Next time!!!
I would highly recommend staying a few days to take in all the sights. Everything is within 30 minutes.

Room Tip: They have a single bungalow type room

We loved our stay at Castle Valley B&B. Jason and Jeanette are wonderful hosts. The rooms are very accommodating and very clean. The views are great from the B&B. The hot tub felt wonderful after a long hike up to Delicate Arch. We ate at the nearby Red Cliffs restaurant several times and was satisfied with our meals. I would highly recommend this B&B while staying in the Moab area.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Hovenweep room; it was perfect.
