“Good value when in Moab”
Reviewed July 5, 2014

We've stayed here several times. Hotels in Moab are expensive and this place is more reasonably priced, probably because it's a two-minute drive into town. It's a basic hotel where the rooms are clean and service is fine, which is all we need when visiting Moab. Breakfast is OK, very typical of what you get all over the country in many hotels, but the eating area is way too small. They have a good pool. If you're looking for a luxury/spa - type experience, do not stay here. If you need a reasonably priced place to stay while doing lots of things in Moab, this is fine.

A deco from the 80s, internet comes and goes, room directly on the road, beautiful view on the parking, front staff hardly acknowledges your presence, 4-5 tables only in the breakfast area – which does not matter because the said breakfast is bad.
Basic is the word.

Room Tip: Stay away from the road!

Hated to interrupt the girl at the desk from her texting to get checked in almost as much as she did.(sarcasm). After a complicated time getting checked in due to incompetence ALL the desk clerks ignored us as we came and went during our 3 day stay. Room was way to small for 4 people. Did not feel at all welcome. Won't stay there on out next visit to Moab. Do not recommend.

The staff was very friendly and helpful when we stayed 1 night. The hotel is older but clean. It did look like it had some renovations done to it recently. Only a small sink outside the bathroom area but shower was good. Pillows and linens did show some wear but were ok. It did have a decent laundry area if you needed it and the breakfast was standard fair but good. It was just past the busier side of town which could be a good thing.

We stayed here for 4 days. The price is very reasonable for summer rates. Recommend bottom floor since they have no elevator. Request a non-smoking room & request it away from the smoking rooms. A hallway near the smoking rooms smells like smoke. Our room was spacious but we got a one queen bed room. The breakfast area was cramp, they do have an over flow eating room though. It is right outside the city limits, so you can not walk to shopping but it us not that far out, it took us less than 5 minute drive to shopping.

This hotel is located in a convenient location-a couple of miles south of the center of town. The room was a fair size with a comfortable bed. The housekeeping staff were extremely courteous and accommodating. The breakfast room was small but had a fair variety of food items and the lady working in the breakfast area was very nice and helpful. This hotel is trying to go green which is commendable. They have a system which lets housekeeping know whether patrons want their sheets changed each day or not. They also have a system if you want and need clean towels and if some were not used and are clean, they put only the towels back that you have used. I also noticed that some of the washing machines and dryers have been changed out for front loaders, much more energy efficient. It is a little older but can be, at times, a little more affordable than many of the other hotels/motels in Moab. If you are there and need to use the room for business-they have WI-FI, definitely a plus, but the room is a little cramped for a laptop and/or IPAD. However, if traveling through for a day or two touring it is a nice place to stay. The only complaint that I have is the front desk personnel are not very welcoming or friendly. They were efficient enough but definitely lacked warmth or humor. That being said I want to compliment the housekeeping staff and breakfast personnel. Very helpful and accommodating! They also have an outdoor pool and nice pool area which I prefer.

I think most people over-rate motels in the resort communties in the west. So this is average, but probably most people would rate it very good. Nothing really wrong, but nothing really great either. Staff kind of indifferent. A few minutes of chit-chat about the area wouldn't kill them. MIssed an elevator after lugging two large suitcases up the stairs. Clean, but some things worn. For those of you who are Choice Privileges members, the membership card puts the motel emblems in order of quality with Comfort Inns at the top and Rodeway Inns at the bottom. The "Choice Hotels" chain is having standard breakfasts at all the motels, which means standardly marginal. I think they really have to work to find such low quality food at all their places. Edible, clean, but ultimately not very good. Prices in Moab are always too high in the summer, so this room for one person, for one nite with tax was $132; the highest I have paid this year. So, in conclusion, okay to stay here, and better than a lot of the old motels in downtown Moab.

Room Tip: Probably need to stay farther back from the highway because of noise from trucks. Also, in the summ...
