I love this weird, quirky stuff in the middle of nowhere. If you are sick of looking at rocks and want an entertaining, very cheap, and short diversion, this is perfect. My husband, who was very scornful of going into the house, actually admitted it was better than he thought it would be. The wacky owners of this cave house did a lot of interesting things to make their home a sweet home. All the decor is exactly as they left it in the 60s. I wouldn't make a trip just to come here, but if you are in the Moab area it is totally worth a visit. Even the outdoor area, which is free, is worth looking at. The owners acquired all sorts of odd bits and pieces with which to decorate their garden, and there are many sculptures and nostalgic things to look at. REAlly enjoyed it, but the kids thought it was a bit weird.

This is the coolest place. We we in road construction for a long time & I had to go to the bathroom so bad. We came around a corner & Wow. After using the restroom, we walked around a little bit but not as long as I would have liked due to the fact we were in a bit of a hurry to get to Arches National Park. If I'm ever in the area again I'd like to spend a little bit more time. First, they have some awesome scupltures including an entire care made of liscense plates & tools. Second, they have a miniture zoo with goats, a walaby (like a small kangaroo), & some more animals that we didn't get a chance to see. They also have a home built into the rock. I believe you can take a tour of it but we didn't know that at the time or have the time for it. It is definately worth a stop at least for some unique photos.

If you are in the Moab area this is a "must see". The day we went was really raining hard so we didnt have the opprtunity to look around outside very much, but the tour of the home that was carved out of solid sandstone is fascinating. The home is just as it was left and is well worth a visit.
