We had a very nice stay. It was our first stay at a B & B and it we were worried about our privacy, but since it is really more of a cottage, it was super private. The top room has a kitchen, dinning room, sitting room, and whirlpool bath, as well as two sleeping areas. We were able to make a BBQ (we had our own table top BBQ) in the yard, which has a gorgious pond and covered swing. The owners went out of their way to try to accomidate our dietary needs. We would consider going back.

Room tip: Top room is bigger and has more to offer.

The 2 rooms sit alone in a carriage house, so there is no central meeting area during off hours. We stayed in the trundle room which is located on the first floor. You will have some noise from above, which is unavoidable. So take the upper room if available. There is a very nice garden and small fountain/pond to sit around outside. But if it is raining, you will be stuck inside. We never met the owner's, they were away. Their helper, Lisa was very nice and made good breakfast. Breakfast is served in a small kitchenette area connected to the room. The sleeping room is tight but very cozy. There are no windows with views. Loved the shower! This was a personal preference, my wife and I did not like the bed. Too soft for our tastes but again this is only our opinion. The best part was meeting Blossom, the ruling queen pug!

Room tip: If you have a choice, choose the carriage room not the trundle.

On a road trip , with classic cars, busking bookings, so Ipad and internet fate brought us here. Warm welcome, well equipped rooms tasty breakfasts. The rooms were like small apartments, just as well as rain stopped play , and so stayed on an extra day, snuggled down with comfort food , and a bottle of spirit reviver. A perfect place for an enforced linger, and nothing too much trouble for our host Tony, who found us a garage, a helpful mechanic, and the shop with the bits we needed. All in all we lucked out . Thank you Tony, oh and when it stopped raining the garden looked lovely .

I stayed just two nights at Camp Hill in their wonderful cottage - it felt like I was coming home! Within five minutes of arriving, I was sitting on the garden swing with Tony with a cold beer in my hand and talking about life.

The Carriage house was built by Tony in the garden of their beautiful home and it has absolutely everything you could need for a perfect stay. The breakfasts were excellent and Tony is a mine of information on the local areas and the best hiking around Harpers Ferry.

I would 100% receommend Camp Hill to anyone and I can't wait to go back to HF soon to enjoy some of the splendid hospitality that is everywhere!

Room tip: Book early!

We just spent two nights at the Camp Hill B&B in Harpers Ferry, celebrating a birthday. Tony has built the perfect option for those who are hesitant to try a B&B but don't like sharing space with others. He offers two living options in a separate building, next to his home - the Cottage and the Trundle. We stayed in the Cottage - a full apartment, with queen-sized bed, bathroom, living room, dining room and fully stocked kitchen. It was fabulous - just outside the door is a small deck, overlooking his pond. Tony was a perfect host. Breakfasts were blueberry pancakes the first morning and a fabulous omelet (with cheese and veg) the second. Each came with bacon and a mixed fruit bowl, served with orange juice. The bath has a jacuzzi tub. The whole place is filled with comfortable furniture and wonderful knick-knacks. The flatscreen tv comes will full cable (more options than I have at home!). Tony provided great recommendations for dinners, for walking (the Appalachian Trail is just up the road), and for enjoying a restful weekend. The location is great, if you want to park your car and spend the weekend walking the hillside that is Harpers Ferry.

Room tip: Bring your own coffee and tea. The kitchen includes coffee maker, toaster, tea kettle, microwave, full-sized stove with oven - but the breakfast drink is orange juice. Just up the road is a non-chain pizza place that served amazing pizza (Mena's?). Perfect for that first night, after traveling.
