8 of us ages 7 to 72 enjoyed the river raft trip. We would go back to try another whern there is more water in the river.

Poorly run operation. Scam. What a racket. You're surrounded by hundreds of loud and drunk frat boys towing coolers of beer. Scenery beautiful until see beer cans and cardboard beer boxes strewn along the river line. There must be about 1000 tubers that go down the river every day during summer months alone. At $50 a pop, that's alot of money. Old school buses, stinky life jackets, tubes, and rafts used over and over (not much overhead). The money the owner must make all the while polluting the river. Using Mother Nature's beauty to make money that way...how does the owner sleep at night?

My family and I booked an all day excursion with River Riders and were very excited about the adventure. Upon arriving by bus to the River Riders headquarters, we found massive confusion. It took several attempts to check in only to have other customers jump in line. To no avail, we were finally checked in and heading on our way. I must admit the first leg of our journey (the flat water section) was pleasant. However, the last leg (white water) was horrifying!! The wind was blowing at such force that our children couldn't make it across the river to the side we were suppose to be on. It was a battle getting down the river even for the very strong men we had in our party. What should have been a 1 and 1/2 to 2 and 1/2 hour trip took us 5 HOURS!!! Needless to say we were exhausted not to mention cut and bruised from trying to avoid the rocks. Even the driver of the bus told us as we boarded to return to the main headquarters...."I would have never put you in the river with the wind like it is today!!" So that tells you something about River Rides work ethic...they only out to make a dollar and as clearly has no reguard for the safety of it customers.

We went tubing with River Riders. All the staff we encountered were nice, however there wasnt much direction on where to go and where to be. There was also little direction on what to do on the river. if you dont need much direction this wont bother you. The tubes appeared in good order and the bus was there right when we arrived at the pick up point. Both drivers were very nice. And if your reservation says to be there at say 1245pm, and your trip is scheduled for 115, you can arrive any time in that range. We arrived 30min early and thought we would have to sit there bored. They allowed us to get on an earlier bus, which gave us more time on the river. overall we had a good time.

Although I must say I was not pleased with my 'white-water' experience itself because of the water levels and the expense and the $$$ that was wasted due to the lack of water....The professionalism of the staff, our guide Erin in particular, and the rest of the people on our trip made it memorable. We made lemonade out of lemons - literally I think that was our beverage:) - We ditched the rafts and went body rafting instead for a little excitement and that was kind of nice. And let us not forget the shuttle rides with the witty jokes...no, but the other thing was the waterfall at the other end - the takeout. That made up for alot.
