“Loved it!”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

Every Thursday through Saturday night starting in June they do a family style fish boil for $15.95pp. My husband was so in love with it he would have gone back every night if I had not have held him back. The fish boil is served buffet style and you need to make a reservation the day before (sometimes day of depending on the night) so they know how much to make. It comes with dessert and a drink. Perfect. The menu is also great with items for everyone at lots of price points. Great food, great atmosphere, great servers.

“Give it a try.”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

Food was good. Prices ok. Portions slightly small. Liked the ambience. Small. Lot's of memorabilia on the walls. Staff was a little short handed at the time we were there, but give it a try.

“lots to like, a few quirks”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

Breakfast has a homemade feel ( the breads and baked goods) although a tiny bit pricey. Lunch can be pretty good if you like fish. The fried trout was great, the fried whitefish sandwich tasty and the whitefish livers were better than anywhere else - probably because no one else has such a menu item! Service can be spotty and flies can be a problem. The menu is a little newspaper with news items along with food items - unique. The 60's era rock photos and records on the walls are kind of silly but the 1940's classic Wurlitzer jukebox ( which only the owner can coax to life) is pretty neat. Overall, a reasonably good experience

“Many Memories”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

The food is excellent here - a very wide variety on the menu. The raspberry pancakes make a breakfast you will never forget. While you're eating, the jukebox/record album décor will have you in a "remember when" mood - perfect for enjoying a malt or sundae.

“We go every summer and love it”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

Greunke's has a great atmosphere! It's fun to sit at the old fashioned counter and check out all the memorabilia. The fresh fish is perfectly cooked, and, as other reviewers have mentioned, the seasonal berries are especially delicious. We have always had good service here, and the menu is fairly extensive with plenty of choices for picky eaters.

We also like to grab a takeout pizza from their associated restaurant, Sgt. Pepperoni's. The pizza price is very reasonable, and they have a decent selection of toppings. We like to pick up a pizza after a long day of swimming when we don't feel like cleaning up to sit down in a restaurant.
