Let me preface this by saying we are resident's...new residents...and run a B&B in the area. So we feel it is our duty to our guests to sample each of the restuarants in the locale. We eventually made it to 'Ethel's' and while we have not had a bad meal at ANY of Bayfield's wonderful eateries...Ethel's just blew me away! The atmosphere is nice, cozy, lots of nicely detailed woodwork, greeted by the staff as soon as we walked in the door, promptly seated, and serving suggestions as to the specials were quick and succinct. Drink suggestions were offered and menu decisions made. The service was prompt, the food just the right temp, the right proportions, the right plating...and the flavors were amazing! All the way down to the gluten free options, and the always locally made items, like the Raspberry Rhubarb pie and the local vanilla ice cream from Tetzer's Dairy down the road. The whole experience is indicative of all of Bayfield's outlook towards their customers, but this was an especially exceptional meal and one of the highlights of Bayfield's offerings. Everyone took an interest in our being there...from the greeter...to the owners....A grand a wonderful experience...We will certainly be back....and if for some reason you really want to savor Ethel's...but can't get in the door...because of all the customers??? They have take out....so don't miss ANY opportunity to sample the wonderful fare from Ethel's at 250!
