We are from Chicago and we are picky about our pizza--but we can attest that the best pizza in the Midwest can be found in a gem of a town on the shores of Lake Superior-- Bayfield, Wisconsin at our favorite restaurant-- Ethel's at 250. We were treated to an incredible taste sensation--Whitefish Pizza--made from the local delicacy of Lake Superior Whitefish, combined with a scrumptious crust and lemon drenched toppings.
As we moved on to our main pasta courses we were equally delighted by the delicious dishes made with the freshest ingredients by a very creative kitchen staff.
Best of all, our dining experience was enhanced by the warm and welcoming reception that we received from the owners Sally and Bill Heytens and their servers, who were very attentive and so responsive to all of our tourist inquiries. They put the icing on our Northwoods vacation!
