“Worth a quick visit.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2012

I've visited the Antietam National Battlefield at least a half dozen times, but never stopped at the Cemetery until my last visit this spring. You'll find interesting architecture and sculpture. Be sure to trek all the way to the back of the cemetery which provides a wonderful view beyond the greater battlefield area.

“Bring Insect Repellant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2012

The cemetery is not large, so it's a good short stop if you're in the area. I went end of May and the little flying bugs were like clouds of flying plague! Annoying, but it also could have been my fault for wearing a confederate hat in the cemetery that only has Union soldiers in it. You can park along the road in front of the cemetery or use the overflow parking less than a block down the street.

Staff is great!!! You can walk the battle filed or take a paid tour. Visitors center offers a gift shop and a brief movie. If you get a chance visit this cemetary around the Holidays.
