“Don't Miss the Visitor Center”
Reviewed November 5, 2013

Be sure to visit the visitor center as it has some good exhibits and a couple of informative videos. Be aware the center is closed on Sunday & Monday.

“Live in Val verde county”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

The lake is very low now, but there is still fishing and boating available. Rentals are sketchy so having your own boat is ideal. There are limited lake access points as water levels have dropped dramatically. There are rentals but these are pricey and for the money I'd go to a better resort area until it rains and lake levels rise. Fishing is still good but best to hire a guide.

“The Lake”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

This lake is by far one of the best in Texas. With ultra clear water and great weather year-round, it is definitely worth the stop. We were water skiing this past January if that is any indication.

Great facilities. Any type of camping you want. Boat ramps all in good shape. Well marked and easily to get to and around.

“Blue water in the middle of the stinking desert”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

Water, water and water.
And everybody, but us, were fishing, so the fishing must be great. Its just the sort of place you want to camp out with kids and a BBQ. Its so primitive and 1950s. I love it.
