“Saipan's Grotto”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

Saipan's Grotto is among the world's best single dives for the novice and the expert. You decend 110 steps to large rock to step into the inner Grotto that has three primary exits into the open ocean where a scuba diver can enter caves, travel on a wall, or adventure to the Temple of Doom. Another less prominant opening takes one down a cavern exiting at 110 feet or the novice can stay insice the 40 to 70 original protected Grotto. The water color is legendary as are the creatures. Turtles and white or black tip reef shark and eels fequent the Grotto at night as well. This is a five star dive even compared to Palau's Blue Corner.

“Beautiful”

Grotto is absolutely gorgeous. Best suggestion is to go with a dive shop or a tour. It is good to have someone who knows the waters

“The Grotto”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

The view was breathtaking! We are not diving people, so we did not go in the water, but just standing there was amazing. The rock formations, the water, the atmosphere was spectacular. I highly recommend stopping by the Grotto if you are on Saipan.

Incredible water, must be physically fit to walk down stairs and maneuver over rocks and then back up stairs! WORTH IT!

“Absolutely beautiful.”

Definitely get under the water if you can. I scuba dove here at night and it was one of the best scuba experiences that I have had. There is so much to see down there. The stairs are brutal in full scuba gear though.
