Whenever we visit SF we make sure to go to Nick's Crispy Tacos. It's so funky but the food is delicious and we love the tacos "Nick's Way". The chips are always fresh and the Mexican corn so yummy! Make sure you get there just as they're opening for lunch to insure yourselves a table because the place gets crowded really fast!

Great atmosphere! Tacos are huge and great. Went back next morning for breakfast. A great local hangout for big sports games.

We actually parked in front of this place and walked around looking for a certain restaurant that a friend mentioned. When we couldn't find where we planned to go, we walked back to the car and I said "Let's just eat here...it's cheap and they have drinks!"

It was a little weird considering it was a bar and the restaurant portion was small but after ordering at the counter with LevelUp (they only take cash and Level Up, which is pretty cool app!), we had our food brought to our table and a pretty cheap pitcher of GOOD beer brought by the waitress. The place needs a little work but I always love a good hole in the wall. The reality is the place is remnants of what it used to be and the new owner just hasn't done much to change it. Food was good, drinks good, and TVs to watch the game. What else do you need?

Best chips and salsa i have ever had! Add the quacamole to make it even better! Tacos are good and pretty big. Two per person should fill you up! Drinks are reasonably priced...Enjoy!

This place is loved by locals who are, it seems, misguided. Sure, the tacos and sundry other Mexican items are very good. But they're not the best available, and that means that they are not worth the absurd hassle it takes to eat at Nick's Crispy.

Finding a table is a royal pain. You can reserve one of the little booths around the bar and get table service, but those are hard to come by and if I want table service I'm going to go to a slightly higher-class establishment that will give me more than 2 shrimp in my shrimp taco.

If you are lucky enough to find a table to sit at, chances are it is not clean and not clear of the previous diners' mess. Perhaps worse, you will be watched like a hawk your entire meal by groups of orphaned taco-goers waiting to pounce on your table as you appear to finish your meal. Again, is this really worth it for tacos that are mostly shredded cabbage anyway? No. If you want amazing grimy Mexican food, go to the Mission. And if you want amazing classy Mexican food, there are other options in different neighborhoods around town. I just don't see the appeal here... seems more like the blind leading the blind than anything else.
