“Interesting menu selections”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2010

We've eaten at the Barracuda Sushi on Market Street twice now and were favorably impressed both times, both for the variety of the menu and the quality of the sushi. I've eaten at perhaps a couple of dozen sushi restaurants in San Francisco and elsewhere, one or two on the high end, and this one ranks with the best of them. On this trip, as a lark we even tried their "flamer", which although a lot of fun, was probably my least favorite of our selections. Everything else was excellent. including a roll featuring jalapeno's, a first for me. Their desserts are excellent, by the way, unusual for a sushi place.

“Good Sushi, Annoying Staff”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 21, 2008

The sushi here is great. Definitely very fresh and pleasant. Unfortunately the restaurant was full so we had to sit at the sushi bar but that was ok - we got to see the chefs prepare the rolls which was intersting.

Our waiter on the other hand, while attentive, was sassy and made jokes in another language to the kitchen staff which was unnerving. It's inappropriate to do that in front of your customers. Grow up! I'd give this place a higher rating if that hadn't happened.
